“A very nice and friendly hotel”
Reviewed 17 April 2014

I spent 3 nights in this hotel when I traveled in Venice. Very convenient location, just a few minutes walk to the train station.

Although the air conditioner ran out of order in the first night, they changed the room for us in the second and third day.

Simple and good breakfast is provided. My wife and I even have our breakfast by the Grand Canal.

The only thing I was not satisfied was the speed of the internet was not good and stable.

Dear Guest,
we thank you very much for your nice review,
we are really sorry for the little air conditioning problem you had during your stay!

Sometime something out of your controll happens and the only thing to do is to fix it as soon as possible and .... we did it !!

As suggested we even checked our WiFi connection
and in a few days we are installing one more access point
to improve our system!

We hope to welcome you back in our hotel in the future
and we wish you all the best,
regards,

Well, Our best destination in europe tour was venice & undoubtly i am sure one of the finest hotel in venice gonna Canal Grande. Stayed here for 3 nights. we got a room in the ground floor but on request we got room at 1st floor.
Literally awesome service, extremely near to the water Bus stand & railway station yet quite place, very helpful staff, & really clean & B'ful rooms made altogether absolutely comfortable stay, though we didn't got the canal facing rooms (our bad luck)
anyways, the breakfast was just fine, nothing special about it & the hotel was quite far from major markets & tourist stop. walking to the St. Mark Square would take at least 40-50 Min but its worth walking & seeing B'ful venice (one can also take water taxi / water bus)

overall amazing place to land when you are in venice .. definitely recommend !!

Room Tip: Book a canal facing room !

My partner booked this hotel as a surprise 40th birthday present. We stayed here for 3 nights and it was perfect from the moment we arrived. The staff were excellent, friendly and very helpful. Nothing was too much trouble and the reception staff were very knowledgable and gave us information on local attractions and restaurants. The room was beautifully decorated, bed very comfy, the cleanliness of the room absolutely immaculate. We had upgraded to a canal view, this is definitely worth it, to sit and watch out the window the boats coming and going. The breakfast was lovely, even though it's continental there is a wide variety of juices, cereals, fruit, cold meats, cheeses and plenty of cakes and pastries. I would definitely recommend this hotel and will be returning.

We recently stayed in this hotel for 2 nights. (Wished we'd stayed longer!!!) From the moment the water taxi dropped us off at their dock we felt welcomed and well taken care of. The decor was just beautiful throughout the hotel. Our bed was so very comfortable and the linens first rate. We appreciated how very clean everything was and how quiet the surroundings were as well. To top it all off they served delicious breakfasts with attentive staff to assist. We are already thinking of returning to Italy again soon...just because we want to spend time in this hotel again.

We stayed for two nights on the first leg of our honeymoon and WOW what a great start. The hotel is easy to find from the train station and was a manageable walk with a 25" suitcase. There is a bridge to cross so i wouldnt try it with a lot of bags but with only one it was fine. They also have their own dock if you are coming via water taxi.

Anka has been such an amazing hostess. We were booked for a standard room (Mercato) on the first floor. They also showed us the Cassenova room on the third floor but we chose to keep our original room and not pay the upgrade price. Anka also gave us a coupon for a free drink since it was our honeymoon.

The room is small but beautifully appointed and the bathroom is a great size. I think this room also serves as a handicapped room so there are the standard necessities for that but it also made for a bit more space. We were a little concerned about potential noise from being right outside the elevator but it was not an issue at all.

The staff is outstanding and I cannot say enough about how welcomed we felt. We would definitely stay here again!!

Just returned from a fabulous short break at this small hotel, which has a great location, with all of the attractions of Venice within walking distance. Our room had everything you could need and was very clean. It is however the attentive, friendly, helpful staff that differentiate this hotel from others, nothing is ever too much trouble, and they go out of their way to ensure that they provide all the information that you can possible need to ensure your stay in Venice is enjoyable. They happily recommend and book local restaurants if you require, the three that we ate at all provided a different experience, with the food and service being excellent in all.

Good central location, easy to find. Nice clean hotel, with super views on the main canal. Staff very good and their local knowledge extensive, they could not do enough to help. Hotel is definitely a good 4 star. Only gripe was breakfast. Although adequate, there was not a great variety on the hot menu (you pay extra for this). If you do not like eggs then you will struggle. Good coffee was extra also! Overall a very good experience, pretty good value for money and I would recommend.
