I had an extra day in Venice last October, and decided to walk up through the Rialto bridge to the quieter, less touristy part of the island. I was hungry but it was the end of lunch (2:30pm) and I was unsure what was open.
I happened upon this unassuming, modern-looking pizza restaurante and the staff were just starting to have their lunch. I could smell the 'Cinghale', wild boar, and asked if there was some more for me. I was asked to join the staff and the manager (owner?), and we talked for an hour over the most amazing pasta I've had in a long time, along with some samples of their pizza, several glasses of Valpolicella , followed by some Aperol and spritzer, followed by espresso, followed by a very long walk home. Thank you to the team at Bacco Felice and I would highly recommend this place for pizza, pasta, and wonderful service.
Thank you to the wonderful staff.
