Great place to go if you love seafood. We went there on the hotel's recommendation for a good family run restaurant with home cooking. Clearly popular with the locals.
The menu offers a wide selection of delights from the sea, including a poke of deep fried fish bits which were great. We had the sea bass baked in rock salt which was absolutely superb. We had to wait a while, but over a bottle of reasonably priced rose the time passed effortlessly people watching.
Good value and very friendly.
A word of warning. The tables on the outside are very near the canal; back of my seat was about 25cm from the canal. If you are sitting there don't lean back to relax or you'll end up in the water!

We were in Venice two days last week and ate at Casa Bonita both nights. We had a table right on the canal, prices are fair and the food is wonderful. The first night we had the scallops with big noodles and pistachio sauce and the second night the monk fish in pasta, which I liked more. Both nights we had their mixed fried seafood (yum!). Even the bread is good. When we showed up the second night they immediately seated us near the water, offered us complimentary drinks, and asked if we wanted to share dishes like the night before. The staff was extremely friendly. Nice place a bit off the beaten path. I would heartily recommend it.

This restaurant was recommended by the hotel staff where we were staying. They did not steer us wrong! This restaurant seemed like a locals hang out. The staff was very helpful, (we don't speak Italian). I savored the Seppie in Nero Con Polentina Morbida, it was awesome! We loved the wonderful Italian atmosphere and their house Chianti was perfect! Yes, we will be returning on our next trip!

Came here based on recommendation from hotel Moresco.

The restaurant is in a 'less touristic' part of Venice, Food was excellent. Had a risotto with scampi, shrimp and truffle and sea bass prepared in salt. Both (min order of 2) took some time as they had to be prepared from scratch.
(Kids didn't like their food as much, but were ok. Staff was very accommodating in preparing something for them)
Service was pleasant, but not particularly fast (which is not untypical).

Overall a very nice evening.
