Centrally located !! Very good for the price .. 5 years ago we payed the same price and got a small dingy room with a shower cubicle u could barely move in, located at one extreme end of Venice.

They've thought of everything and the rooms are very clean, well equipped and comfortable.
Only maybe I'd say the mattresses could do with an upgrade and they need to add a cpl hooks in the bathroom to hang up damp towels and clothes.

The staff isn't overly friendly but offer assistance and information when needed.
My only complaint is with the housekeeping staff who are LOUD and noisy from 8 am onwards or maybe even earlier !!!! They talk over the sound of the vacuum cleaner and greet each other right there outside the door of your room.
Here I'd like to add that yes I know most ppl are probably awake or at breakfast by this time but we do like our sleep ins when on holiday ...

I can understand that this may happen at a b & b but not at a hotel and not when ur paying this price for sure !!

Good hotel, clean rooms, spacious compared to other places in venice, modern bathrooms, good service, central location. Would definately stay there again. Only feedback is that there were no hooks to hang towels/clothes in the bathroom. Had to be innovative and find nooks and crannies to hang them.

We loved staying at this treasure of a hotel, located right on the canal. The service was warm and gracious; our room was lovely, quiet and right on the canal. Breakfasts were terrific. The only complaint is that the hotel needs a sign outside the front at night. It's a bit difficult to find the hotel at night after eating out....but then again, everything is hard to find in Venice - a true labyrinth of streets. The hotel could still benefit from a lighted sign at night (was told that that Venice may not be willing to provide - all kinds of legal ordinances). The sign is minor however - everything about this hotel otherwise, is wonderful.

Room Tip: Ask for a room overlooking the canal. We also prefer what the Europeans call "box showers" - not just a hose but also a ceiling head. Perhaps all the bathrooms provide, but I would speak ask for.

We have just returned from a 3 night stay in Venice staying at the aqua palace. I thought that it is only after you have been you appreciate what works and what does not in venice; it is a pretty unique place!!

We arrived at Rialto via the excellent alilaguna service from the airport. This is a €15 transfer service that takes about 50 mins and offers a great introduction to venice. Be assured, you will not finds the hotel when you first arrive but trust in a good map or phone and be patient. When you know where it is there are some easyish signs to help you. Venice is a maze!!

We were on the 4th and top floor overlooking a small canal. The room was lovely, very we'll appointed and the staff were superb. No fault with the room (405), although a chair in our room would have been nice. Windows allowed the sounds of venice to permeate the room, as well as mozzies!! Be warned.

Breakfast was delightful, attended by the lovely Sylvia who was as good a host you will find. I found it wanting nothing, and the eggs were a rare delight in a hotel.

We decided to return to the airport James Bond style in a speedboat. Very well worth it with a pick up front the airport canal side landing stage at €110 and only 20 mins. All arranged by the hotel without fuss.

Now venice is not for the frugal! Everyone will feel they have paid a little too much for a drink at least once in a stay. Food was more reasonable where we decided to eat, nice osteria (restaurants) that local folks frequented. We had a brilliant trip with urban adventures on the first night and met some lovely folks. They took us on a walk round some local eateries with food and drink, we did end up the night full of food panda also full of alcohol! A cracking night.

Venice is so bush at the main tourist areas, however venture of the beaten track and you can quickly find quiet spots. We headed over to the lido and found in May it was almost deserted. I would advice using the vaperetto service, it feels a bit daunting at first but it really is easy and a great was to get around.

Happy to answer any questions, but would highly recommend aqua palace for a stay in venice.

Room Tip: Rooms looking over the canal are lovely, but they are a collection point for refuse early in the morning.

We have just returned from a wonderful stay in this lovely hotel. We booked a junior suite (room 404) which we found delightful with a marvellous view of a canal frequented by numerous gondolas. The reception staff were very polite and helpful and the breakfast was exceptional and the young lady there gave fantastic service. The hotel is ideally situated between St Marks Square and the Rialto Bridge, both only minutes away.
The only improvements they could make to the room is to provided tea and coffee making facilities and perhaps a larger TV which seemed lost on such a large wall and maybe more storage space in the bathroom for toiletries.
BEWARE when offered the "complementary " transfer to Morano you will be delivered to a glass blowing factory where you will experience a 'timeshare' like hard sell of very expensive glassware and we defy you to find any way out!!! Take the vaporetto at 7 euros a less time consuming choice.
For a truly magical Venetian experience do not miss this hotel.
