When my wife decided to book this hotel, I looked at the price and thought this had better be a good hotel, and it turned out to be better than my expectations for a hotel in Europe! We have room 204 and it was a junior suite which comfortably fitted us and our son with 2 huge luggages amongst other hand carrys. The beautiful room was facing the canal and the morning view is breathtaking.

The only issue is the pretty long walk (not actually that long but felt like eons with 2 huge luggage and 2 handcarrys in a Venice summer), which would not be a problem if we had paid 100 Euros to have a taxi take us straight from the Grand Canal outside the train station. A 14 Euro trip for the ACTV ride with probably 10-15 mins walk with the luggages seemed a more economical idea to me then (even now actually) if you have the time to spare, and don't mind walking 3-4 flights of stairs up/down bridges along the way.

Breakfast and service staff were impeccable and the hotel receptionists were very friendly as well.

The hotel is well located in the centre of Venice and most attractions are within 5-10 mins by foot.

Thumbs up and will be back again for sure!

The whole family was in agreement. We all really liked this hotel. Located about a five minute walk from Rialto and Piazza San Marco, the location is hard to beat. Reaching the Aqua Palace for the first time, in theory, should have been straight-forward (10 min on the express water bus to Rialto, then a five min walk), but with luggage, throngs of people, don't be surprised if it takes a bit longer. On this first attempt, we got a bit lost, but not too badly. After a day, the hotel was quick and easy to find.

We had a decent sized room (305) that was fine for a family of three. The room had a view of a canal and bridge, and a nice size bathroom with a walk-in shower.

All of the staff we met seemed genuinely friendly. The front desk was helpful with dining recommendations. The woman in charge of the breakfast room and the preparation of the pastries, eggs, etc, was incredibly personable.

We would definitely stay here again.

We stayed at this hotel only one night, but it was a great experience. The rooms were beautiful. We booked the Jr. Suite so we could have a canal view and it was well worth it. It looked like we were looking at a postcard each time we looked out the window! The included breakfast was very good with a wide selection and very attentive service, especially considering it was buffet style.

The front desk staff was very helpful and recommended a great restaurant for us. In addition, they were kind enough to store our luggage as we weren't leaving Venice until well after check-out time.

The hotel is a little difficult to find once you get off the water bus. I was using the directions from their website but still managed to get lost. It was raining too, so that didn't help! The water taxi was going to charge us 80 euros from the train station to the hotel, though, which was just way too much money for me! if you decide to take the water bus, make sure you have directions with you to help you find the property.

We had three nights at the start of out holiday at Aqua Palace. Great central location, easy walk to the major attractions, or just a stroll to the more uncrowned lane ways and canals.
The room was very pleasant, bathroom very spacious. I liked the formal simplicity of the breakfast room, and the choices there. The reception staff were very helpful and pleasant with a few unusual subjects we had, and good English, for the non Italian speakers.
At the time of my booking an email arrived immediately offering transfers from the train or airport, I liked that service.

We stayed in a junior suite (room 404) and loved the space and the view! The hotel is charming... Best way to experience the magic of Venice from a wonderful vantage point. Elegant, quiet, yet close to the Rialto bridge and San Marco square. The service is amazing, the breakfast a highlight. It spoiled us! However that comes at a significant price. And dining in the area was a disappointment. But this hotel? Definitely worth the expense. We took a private water taxi (arranged by the hotel) from the San Marco parking garage upon arrival. That was also expensive but made a difference in that we arrived safely and enjoyed our boat ride so much! By the time we departed, two days later, we were comfortable taking the public water taxi. Overall an exquisite time.
