We loved our 4 night stay at Ca'Zora. We truly felt that we were coming back home each night. Salvatore and Antonio have mastered the perfect balance of support and privacy. I think they have a great instinct for arranging things is such a way that you feel everything is customized to your needs. Salvatore gave us excellent recommendations on where to go and what to see (complete with map), and insights into life in Venice. He's a sweetheart.
We stayed in two different private rooms, each lovely in its own way. Both had private entrances, lovely beds, good lighting, and plenty of room. Both have thoughtful touches, like radios and gentle bedside lights. Truly inviting after a full day of sightseeing. The downstairs room is on dead-end street, so it's absolutely silent (Venice is quiet, in any case!) The bathroom is narrow, so if you're a big bathroom person, you might prefer the upstairs room with it's more spacious bathroom. The upstairs room overlooks the street (pedestrian, naturally) so you feel a part of the city. Both have ample heat (you control), and hot water. The breakfast is customized to your preferences, and you can have it served to your room if you prefer. Great coffee, great fresh OJ, and we really like the apricot jam!
Everything was clean, everything works, and the location is fabulous. We can't wait to go back.More
