I recommend staying at Ca Luisa! You will not be disappointed. We chose this B&B because it had the following: a truly central location that was two minutes to the Rialto Bridge and two minutes to Piazza San Marco. Really! In the middle of everything. Our room was air conditioned and quite large. The room is on the corner with three large windows that overlook a fun little intersection and upscale gelato shop. Bathroom was top notch and quite modern. Luisa and her husband were the epitome of warmth and hospitality – even though we arrived very late in the evening and interrupted their dinner.
We enjoyed being served in our room – the large table in the corner was lit with morning sunlight. We could hear Italians making morning deliveries and calling out their greetings to each other. This made it special and enjoyable. The homemade jam was delicious!

But yes, like others, we noted that the breakfast is not really homemade, much of it in plastic wrapping. Italian friends explained that it could be regulations on just what is allowed to be served fresh, what is allowed to be cooked/prepared by B&B owners whose kitchens are not inspected like restaurants are. Anyway, this prepackage style, without fresh fruits or just cooked items, was actually not that uncommon during our stay at other B&Bs. We were not surprise or disappointed by the breakfast.

The room and the location and the friendly owners make Ca Luisa really a good value and great location for exploring Venice. I highly recommend it.

This B&B is in an excellent location, about a 2 minute stroll from St Mark's Square.
The owners were excellent; they even met us at the Rialto Bridge at 11pm to escort us to the B&B and allowed us to leave our luggage with them on our final day so that we were not dragging it around the city until it was time for our flight.
The room and bathroom were spotless; the air-conditioning was a blessing in the 30 degree heat.
Breakfast was served in the room by the owners and kept us going all morning. If I had any criticism at all it was that the breakfast items were not fresh pastries but shop bought, packaged items, but this is being picky and we would highly recommend this B&B.

This charming B&B is easy to find and very well located just a few steps from Piazza San Marco. There is no elevator inside the building. The room they gave us (it has no number, it is the first on the left near the entrance) was very very big and with a charming old venetian forniture and a view on a narrow street (in the morning a little bit noisy). The bathroom is not so big but quite confortable. There is no breakfast room, the breakfast is served in your room and it is nothing special, no home made cakes, only a small home made jam.
The very kind owners are not always around the city, so before booking be sure that you can easily arrange your departure from the room (we had the flight late in the evening and it was not possible to leave the luggage in the B&B till our leaving time, so we had to carry the luggage with us around the city from 1.00 pm till night).
Very close to the B&B there is a small restaurant were you can have a good meal without spending a fortune, now I don't remember the name, ask the owners.

We needed somewhere to stay for 2 nights for a friends wedding in June and were getting worried about how costly the hotels were. Had a look at B+B's in the area and were amazed to find this one, very close to St Mark's Square and near to our friends hotel.
The service could not have been better for us. We were called by the owner as soon as we landed, but had a strained conversation due to the language barrier! We felt awful that we couldn't muster any Italian, but the couple were so nice and actually came to meet us in the Square outside a cafe (with the red chairs!) to show us the way to the B+B.
The room was comfortable and clean. The bathroom was new and the shower was lovely. Breakfast was served at the little table and chairs in the room. We just opened the door and it would appear with a friendly 'Bonjourno'! Their homemade marmalade was wonderful!
The air-con worked and it was nice to wake up to the hustle and bustle of the streets below.
We couldn't have been happier with our stay. The owners were welcoming but not intrusive and even looked after our bags for us for a few hours due to a late flight.
We would not hesitate to recommend this B+B.

Me and my sister stayed for the weekend in early June 2011 and loved it. The b and b was a bit hard to find as we were not used to the small streets and the only sign of the b and b is a small business card on a door bell.

However, once we found it we could not have asked for better service! A fabulous breakfast each morning delivered to the room including the owners homemade marmalade! Less than a 5 minute walk to St Mark's square and right above some great restaurants and shops!

This b and b is great value for money and we will definitely stay there again next time we are in Venice.
