Owner description: Venice's main water thoroughfare, lined with great Renaissance palaces, is a colorful and busy spectacle of gondolas and vaporetti.

We spent days hopping on and off the vaporreti to travel around the amazing city of Venice. Everything was very well organized and easy to navigate. We got a three day pass and used it often. It paid for itself very quickly. The canal traffic is amazing at "rush hour".

You must book a tour with Alilaguna Tours for the canal, but a gondola ride is basically a different experience to be had and you can buy tickets directly from the vendors.

Lots of people; you will need to wait your turn if you want a selfie but not to miss; Venice has lots of canals, of course, but this is a major one.

such a wonderful place, busy with water buses, water taxis, private boats and gondolas as its the main route through the city, but so much fun to ride along it with so many things to see and great photo opportunities. the canal is at its busiest along the stretch from the rialto bridge to st marks square, the main tourist spots.

Wonderful for taking pictures. Colorful and unusual and unique architecture. Everyone should see this once.
