Lovely old tower which is off the beaten track. When we visited there was hardly any people here. The cost was only €7 and the view is great showing the old building in Venice. Would recommend for a different experience

it takes a bit of finding, but easy once you know where it is and consult with the map. Plus there are small brownish signs on street corners which identify the land marks. The Scala is a beautiful tower of spiral steps. They are not steep and they are not overrun with tourists so you can climb at your leisure, and only approx 6 flights in total. There are not too many vantage points at height in venice but this is one of them and probably the least known so one of the best because you are not inundated with tourists. there is also a museum attached on the second storey, but i didnt go there, the steps were enough, really glad i found these and a sense of pride when you find it hidden in the back streets down a dead end....
This is one of those hidden places You don’t want to miss out. Hardly any tourists her, but what a great building and fantastic view.
We did not purchase entrance tickets. It was enough just to view it and take pictures of it. There were just a couple of other tourists there so it was nice to be out of the crowds for a few minutes. It is beautiful.
Beautiful! We strolled through Venice early to beat the crowds so the Scala Contarini del Bovolo was still closed. But we did get to take pictures outside it's grounds. A must see and getting to it is half the fun. Many zigzagging and narrow alleys make the walk to the site that much more rewarding.
Lovely views of Venice at the top - the cupola is beautiful and the spiral staircase to the top is easy! Worth the trip to the top!!!
