Owner description: A masterpiece of Gothic architecture, the building and its sculptural decoration date from various periods. The interior, with works by artists such as Titian, Veronese, Tintoretto, A.Vittoria and Tiepolo, includes vast council chambers, superbly decorated residential apartments, and austere prison cells. Along the facades of the Palace run loggias that overlook St. Mark’s Square and the lagoon. The combined entrance ticket to the St. Mark’s Square Museums grants access to the Doge’s Palace, Museo Correr, Museo Archeologico Nazionale and Monumental Rooms of Biblioteca Marciana.

It's stunning from the outside, but inside ones breath is taken away. And the HISTORY! A palace, a museum, a view of history, a masterpiece! Well worth going inside.

We visited when the Palace was open late and was amazed. We had the place almost to ourselves in June! Don't miss this incredible palace with amazing views. Make sure to look out of all windows as you tour.

You won't believe the number of people in this square. It is totally worth seeing but buy an advance ticket or don't go! The square is full of restaurants, vendors, etc.

such an amazing place, full of history and so much to see. It is best to pre-book tickets for collection as the queue for tickets on the day is always long. we booked them the night before and collected on arrival, best to do this in the morning when the queue for pre-booked tickets was at its shortest, but mid afternoon the pre-booked queue and the day queue were equally as long.
