When in Venice great to see Marco Polo's dwelling. It is not a palace or anything but if you have read the man's achievements interesting to see in any case. We saw it from the water when taking a gondola ride.

We searched & visited the house while our walking trip in Venice this April. This is not the original house anyways but you will get to learn about his early life in here. To reach there you need to walk on all little side streets, cross bridges. We, like everyone, wanted to see from where the great explorer started from.

Recommend to first time traveler & history seeker. but not worth of revisiting.

We made a little effort to find this house but it wasn't really worth it. The actual house is pretty modern looking, nothing special with a smallish plaque above the door. The house is around Theatre Malibran and I believe the actual house is in the spot where Marco polo's house used to be.

Who cares if the house is amazing or simple! Walking through the streets of Venice with my 6 year old sone, searching for Marco Polo's home, recounting the stories of India and China, having my little boy ask questions like "Did Marco Polo play football here?" or "Did Marco Polo eat pizza?", times like that are what travel is about. The house, nothing special. The process, priceless.
