Excellent as always although the courtesy of other guests on occasion to staff was questionable.

Briiliant service, great food, best swimming pool in the world.

Slightly overfussy service in the main restuarant .

This is not the cheapest hotel in Venice but it does offer some compensations mainly because of its location. It is situated about a ten minute boat ride from St Marks Square on an island that is not part of the tourist scene or even downtown Venice. The result is that you can escape from the madding crowds and you have the luxury of a swimming pool and terrace to sunbathe on when you just want to chill. The complimentary hotel boat shuttle means that you can still be in the thick of things in short time whenever you want.
I have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to anyone.

This hotel is just what you want from a five star plus hotel. It has the very best service but is not pretentious. It clearly knows it is right up there as one of the best in Venice and the World but it is not arrogant. The staff are friendly at the same time as being very efficient and attentive. The location is magical with a view over to St Mark's Square and the beautiful St Giorgio Maggiore. It is truly a romantic jewel in the romantic setting of the Venice Lagoon. Taking their speed boat from their private pier just on the edge of St Mark's Square to the private pier at the hotel itself makes one feel like a film star. It is not cheap but it is good value and you cannot say that about all top hotels.

From the moment we arrived at this spectacular hotel we were made feel very welcome and comfortable.
The accommodation and the property grounds are wonderful, a peaceful oasis.
The staff on the front desk were very kind and helpful

After a wonderful train trip onboard the Orient Express, it was only made more perfect staying in one of Orient Express Hotels in Venice, which is on an island within Venice. Venice is a very beautiful city built on canals, but very little vegetation, however this hotel was the complete opposite, with the smell of Jasmine plants hitting you when you get off your James Bond style boat, where you are looked after by very friendly staff.
The gardens in this hotel are the selling point, and well worth a walk after diner, in one of the two restaurants, although we choose the outdoor restaurant, that overlooks Venice. However, eating on a wooden platform on top of water is very nice, but can be loud when the waves slap under the wooden floor, but the views, food and friendly staff make up for the noise of the waves. The staff in the restaurant were very friendly and fun, which added to a great experience.
Rooms were very comfortable and big, although hot water was a bi of an issue.
Breakfast outdoors was fantastic, once again the food was outstanding and very friendly staff.
