“Tourist Trap”
Reviewed 29 March 2012

It was one of those things on a list of "what to do in Venice". The service was snarky and food totally overpriced and the environment super-cramped to say the least. It was done, check it off the list. But I won't be back.

“Legends Worth a Miss”
Reviewed 27 March 2012

Little sandwiches and the fabled Bellini. Eat a few and drink a few and the tab will give you a life time of memories. You can say you have been to Harry's Bar. The legend lives for the next group of suckers. I was one.

“Good for a bellini”
Reviewed 22 March 2012

I have been to Harry's several times and was determined to go back on this trip despite my husband's comments that we had "been there, done that". As always, the bellini's don't disappoint. I know they are an arm and a leg for a small drink, but they are so good! We each had 2, which is quite a splurge...but we couldn't resist. We also ordered the warm ham and cheese sandwiches (croque-monsieur) which are normally delicious as well. But, to our disappointment this time they fell short. They were warm and toasty on the outside, but the inside was cold and the cheese wasn't quite melted. The taste is still fantastic, but we were definitely disappointed about the temperature.

Overall, I would say Harry's is a place you should visit at least once and splurge on a bellini. But, maybe my husband was right when he said we had already experienced it at it's best.

“When In Venice........”
Reviewed 21 March 2012

Since this was the birthplace of the Bellini, we decided to pop in for a round after an afternoon of shopping. The bar is small with several tables jammed together. Service was okay but the server did not go out of his way to make us feel welcome. Drinks were good but I'm not sure I would pay ninety-one Euros for four drinks here again. Check off another item on your bucket list instead!

“have a Bellini here”
Reviewed 18 March 2012

It is very nostalgic to always return to Harry's Bar for a Bellini when we are in Venice. Fun for people watching too.
