This was one of the best parts of our trip! It was about 2 Euros each and we were in there for at least 3 hours! Great value and great museum!

“Best part of Venice”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 3 March 2014

This was definitely the best part of our trip for me. I love history on warfare and that is very much what you get. Huuuge canons, parts of ship wrecks, swords, pistols, etc etc and extremely cheap and 1.50 euros each. It takes a good while to walk around but there's plenty of open space so it doesn't get too busy and it seems like a less popular attraction for tourists, which is ridiculous.

“Must visit if you want to see beyond "Venezia Land"”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 25 February 2014

This museum is not on the official top list of sights must-see in Venice - very unfairly. It's supercheap compared to other museums and how much it offers. Venice having grown out of being a naval empire, this is the place to be if one wishes to understand more of what constitutes the background - both historical and some sociological - of this city today.
Lots of artefacts can be seen - and related stories are told - from different ages of the city teaching the visitor about just how much Venetians' city was worth its title the Princess of Seas.

“Lot of ship models and artivacts”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 29 January 2014

The three story museum was full of ship history, artifacts and sea history of Venice and other Navys. We spent and hour inspecting the displays. Uniforms and parts of ships were very well displayed.

“Awesome Museum”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 28 January 2014

We loved the museum very much. It was only 1,55 euro, but it was worth much more. It had four floors full of history and ship models from all times (some of them were really big...) The staff was very friendly and smiling. We could not have chosen a better museum!
