This hotel is 2 bridges away from the train station but totally worth it.

Hotel is distinctly Venetian, rooms were clean & well lit. Got the room overlooking the canal & got a bonus of a balcony that overlooked the canal.

Rooms were super clean. AC was great. Hot water was working. Toilets & showers were clean! Rooms were a bit small but acceptable.

Location is in the quieter part of Venice but accessible to train & bus stations within 10-15mins walk (maximum).

This hotel is good when you are walking through Venice. Not located in the touristy area of San Marco.

Front desk was happy to help where needed but a good map (with ALL the lanes labelled) is a MUST in Venice so do pay & buy the map.

Overall good hotel, great location for walking, safe, clean rooms with a good view & a bonus balcony which was great.

Room Tip: Do ask for rooms overlooking the canal if you are able to get away with it. Rooms are relatively sou...

This was a last minute booking through a last minute Hotel booking site. We thought it was a bit expensive at first, 220.00 Euros, down from over 400. When we got there and checked in, it was well worth it. Only 80 metres from Pizzale Roma, the main bus terminal, the end of the people mover and adjacent to the Train station. No humping bags through the middle of Venice for us, 2 minute walk through the Hotels gardens and we were there. Room was well appointed, the bed.....well it was devine. We are not usually into the seista, too much to see and do, but when we sat on the bed it just invited us to lay back and relax. Well a couple of hours later it released us from its embrace and we set off into Venice. We dined elsewhere, great looking Menu in the Hotel but we were out and about when the hunger bug bit. Had a great nights sleep, balcony doors open, and were woken in the morning by the snoises of the stirring city....very romantic. We even had couple of fledgling pigeons nesting in our balcony window boxes. Whenever Mum or Dad dropped in to feed them they disturbed the Rosemary in the window boxes and the perfume drifted into the room. Breakfast was delicious, very relaxing and rounded out a wondeful stay. Staff were extremely attentive, great service, such that I would stay there again, even at full price! geting out to the airport was a breeze, 80 m walk, bought a couple of 6 Euro tickets and straight onto the coach and to Marco Polo.

Room Tip: Try and get into room 428, overlooks the canal and straight into Venice

Hotel: The hotel is in an older and worn building that could use a renovation. The hallways, reception and other facilities looked a bit worn and in some places need fixing. For a hotel of that price category, this should not be acceptable, so my rating is only 3 stars overall.

Rooms: I upgraded to a luxury room with a view of the canal. The rooms were super tiny, and only fit the bed itself. There’s very little extra room. The ensuite bathroom is small. Overall, very clean, but very small. We paid some Euro 300 per night, so we thought that this hotel is overpriced. But then again, this is Venice – it’s tough to find reasonably priced hotels. If we were to stay at the hotel again, we would not go for the upgrade.

Location: The hotel is in a quiet part of Venice, a good half hour walk away from the main attractions (e.g. Rialto bridge and San Marco square). Note, however, that it’s easy to get in and out of the city from that location (see below getting there). We didn’t mind walking around in beautiful Venice, but some people might prefer to be closer to the action.

Getting there: A taxi to the hotel is Euro 40 from the airport, and takes about 20 minutes to take you to Pizzale Roma, which is just a 2-minute walk across one bridge from the hotel. The train station is a 10-minute walk (requiring 2 bridge crossings) away from the hotel. So it is quite easy and convenient to get there.

Overall, not a bad place, but not exactly a good value. They charged the price of a 5-star price, but provided only a 3-star experience for that money. I believe they should consider upgrading their facilities to deserve that premium or charge slightly lower prices.

Room Tip: Don't go for the upgrade. The view of the canal is not worth the extra premium. The windows are...

We stayed here for 3 nights part of our italy trip. We had a nice experience with the hotel and the staff. Our room did not have the greatest view but it was clean, and the bed was very comfortable, not to mention large for a room in europe. Everyday the room was made up on time and clean. No noise or other issues.

The hotel is perfectly situated for arriving and departing, its a short 5 minute walk to the train station and it is on a quite street er.. canal. The only thing to keep in mind is that its pretty far from the major attractions about 30-40 min from saint marks square.

The reason four 4 stars and not 5 is because given the price your paying wifi internet should be free, there should be ZERO charge.

Also not related to the hotel but as a general tip if you stay here do not i repeat DO NOT eat at the restaurant directly across from the hotel. Its a pizzeria run by chinese folks that served the worst pizza i have ever eaten, after i went into the bathroom I walked passed the kitchen and witnessed the cooks were unwrapping frozen pizza and putting those in the ovens.
