“Top location. Walk to cruise terminal.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 22 June 2014

Lovely hotel right on the canal. Very short walk to the cruise ship terminal or the train station (Santa Lucia). Very helpful staff and clean facilities. Excellent restaurant next door and gelati shop just a bit further on the same side.

Room Tip: 706 is the biggest with a canal view.

Although the room was rather small the décor was exactly as on the website and lovely. The bathroom was larger than expected for Europe but did not have a shower curtain---not a problem for me, but a challenge for my husband. the weather was perfect so we slept with the windows open but the all-night kiosk next door became noisy around 2 am when evidently there was a shift change somewhere close. (The AC was working---we chose the noise and fresh air over closed windows.) The breakfast room was bright and cheery and the food offered a nice variety. The hotel staff took time to speak on a personal level with us and was very helpful in all instances. The hotel was very conveniently located to the train station (which was my main concern as we were toting our own luggage) but consequently was a distance from St. Mark's and the main tourist attractions.

The Arlecchino Hotel is a beautiful place to stay to enjoy the sights, sounds and feel of Venice. Situated very close to the bus station, it is only a short walk to the Hotel and within an easy walk to the main square. The hotel is situated on the canal and furnished in true Venice style, the staff are wonderful, very helpful and friendly. Loved it.

Room Tip: a canal room is lovely, but you have to lean out to enjoy the view.

The hotel was simple to find from the major bus terminal, which was nice after an overnight flight. We paid extra for a corner room which allowed for nice view and some breeze. The breakfasts were ample and many choices were available. Although the hotel is not convenient to many tourist locations, purchasing 24-hour water bus passes allowed us easy access to where we wanted to go along with just riding along the major canals to see the sights. Having to keep the windows open for cool air was problematic at night as there was lots of noise coming from below during the evenings and early mornings. A ceiling fan or oscillating fan would seem to be such an easy fix and were available in the other rooms during our trip. We would definitely consider returning here as long as the noise/evening heat issues were resolved.

We selected this hotel for 1 night before taking a cruise. It was easily accessible from the airport and an easy walk to the people mover at the port to embark on the cruise. Only 2 bridges to cross with all your luggage which is why we selected the hotel. The hotel itself is in need of updating, and the location, while perfect for access to the port is not an ideal location for accessing the many attractions in Venice. This hotel is also close to the train station, so there is a lot of foot traffic past the hotel early in the am. Again, for 1 night before taking a cruise it's perfectly acceptable.

The staff at the front desk was helpful, the room was clean and the breakfast was nice. Nothing fancy, just a simple room and property conveniently located near the port.

Room Tip: We had a room on the 2nd floor facing the canal. Almost seems like we were in an Annex as that had b...

The hotel was very nice, very clean and had paid extra for a canal view. The room was very nice and what I expected for the extra that I had paid. The only thing was the boats that are moored at the front of the hotel usually start up about 6am and unfortunately the glazing and shutters and curtains don't block out any of the noise when closed. Would rather have been at the side or back of the hotel in hindsight. very close to main train station and a short walk to the centre of Venice.

Room Tip: Good hotel and close to train station.

This was an excellent hotel.we stayed for 4 nights and were very pleased with everything about it.Getting off the bus from the airport we could see the hotel. It only took a short walk and crossing one bridge to get there.the room was spacious and clean with a good canal view.Staff were polite and helpful.breakfast buffet had good coffee and wide choice of food. This is one of the best small hotels that I have stayed in.

Room Tip: A canal view is worth asking for.
