Not bad for a five star lots of class, great access to St Marks Sq and our speedboat plonked us straight into the hotel from the jetty, great. Usual expensive charges for meals, services at this level but what do you expect. We did get a room near a service area that was noisy with banging doors so we asked to be moved. The room given was bigger but not better as the service trolleys started rolling along the alley from 6am onwards so we couldn't win? It did get cold when we visited and the system did put out heat in the first room but didn't do the same in the new room so it was somewhat chilly? Oh yes the lights on the side tables fused and started smelling of burning so they had to be changed. I don't want this to be a negative review as such as the staff had been very good and helpful and I think we had been unlucky in this respect and it is Italy after all:) The general decor and ambiance of the place was first class and very stylish. Concerns with taxes on rooms at this level was expressed on checkout as the charges had been more than stated on the website when booking, but again this was adjusted to the website pricing:) Overall a great location, and a great hotel.

Room Tip: possibly ask for a room overlooking the main sq. rather than the sides or rear of the hotel.

We had a small wedding reception dinner at the Westin Europe & Regina. I cannot express how great they were and how beautiful it all was. We got married in a garden at another hotel, and then came here for the dinner. When we arrived with our guests, I just couldn't believe how beautiful everything looked. The table was absolutely stunning with flowers and candles everywhere, and white chair coverings. We ate outside under the terrace, next to the Grand Canal, overlooking the most magnificent church. We had a set wedding dinner, and the food was truly fantastic. And then they brought out the most beautifully decorated cake! I didn't even know we had ordered a wedding cake, as we only had a small party. It was so delicious that everyone at the table was asking for seconds. The staff were so professional. They were so nice to deal with. I couldn't have hoped for a better place to have our little wedding reception dinner.

Excellent Hotel in great location right on Canale Grande. As SPG Platinum received an upgrade to a very comfortable and charming deluxe room with spacious and well equipped bath room. breakfast at the terrace on the channel is worth the visit itself. Service from concierge, housekeeping, restaurant was very good just front desk lacks professional service, slow and arrogant. a bit pricy from room rate to everything you add.

The location of the hotel is excellent...on the Grand Canal just as it comes out into St. Marks Basin and the Giudecca Canal. It has a dock for the water taxi and is a very short walk to St. Mark's Square. The rooms are iffy. I had a very pleasant single room with a queen size bed and a nice bathroom but the other single person (our party was a couple and two singles) had a very tiny room. My closet was arranged in such a way that I could not hang a dress or long pants. The couple had a nice room, but they had problems with the toilet overflowing. The public rooms and the lobby are luxurious and there is a very nice deck outside the bar that has beautiful views, especially at night. What ruined this stay for me was the service or lack thereof. The front desk staff was actually rude both at check in and check out. The service at the very expensive buffet breakfast was almost non-existent. The bell staff and the bar staff were good.

Location: fantastic!
Rooms: good
Reception: very unpleasant and almost arrogant.
Service: not up to the standards of a 5 star hotel.
Everything takes forever to be done.
Drinks and laundry service: a way overpriced. Cocktail from 22 euro!!!

We had a hard time looking for this hotel but once we got there, it was a pleasant surprise. Service at the front desk was excellent. This hotel is combination of 2 old buildings and that is why the name Europa and Regina. Breakfast was a bit disappointing as they are a bit more disorganized and not much variety compared to other Westin properties we stayed in.The rooms can be better and needs to be updated, Considering that we have been upgraded to a suite - I was expecting something more. But the location is ideal as it is located by the canal and is a very short walk to St. Marks Square. If you forget something, walking back is not a problem at all!

Just returned from 2 night stay. Found the hotel to very comfortable and staff very nice. Concierge were all very helpful. Bathrooms are a bit small but it is Venice but they were very nicely appointed with all the needed amenities.
The outside deck overlooking the grand canal is a wonderful spot to have a cocktail or dinner. May have to wait for a table but worth it.
