We booked 2 rooms for our recent 2 night stay & it was an excellent experience.
One of the rooms was upgraded to a junior suite & it was a stunning set-up. The second room was adjacent - a very nice room but a little dark for my taste. The rooms were superbly presented though & very comfortable.
This hotel is quite unique with it's Venetian splendor - definitely more character than the Monaco which is next door & where we went for dinner one night (which was a very good place to eat!). Having breakfast in the ballroom is quite something & really a breathtaking way to start the day. The gentlemen on the front desk were always super helpful & could not do enough for us.
The position of this hotel is what really makes it though - only footsteps to St Mark's Square & everything is an easy walk. And you will not believe the crowds in those lane ways! A little tip if you want a coffee or sandwich in St Mark's Square - eat at the cafes next to the ones with the orchestras - they are half the price & you can still hear the music!
This is not a cheap hotel - but it certainly delivers a unique & special experience so hang the expense & go for it!

I recently returned from my Italian vacation! I hated to leave each place, Venice for sure. The curb appeal to the baglioni is beautiful and it's a great location. The staff was extremely helpful, friendly and accommodating. We even lucked up and our room was ready at 9:00 am.
The room was spacious and a good floor plan. The bathroom was breath taking! A beautiful soaking tub, marble shower with a rain shower head and white marble everywhere. There were windows everywhere! One in the bathroom, the hallway and three in the bedroom. The weather was amazing. the windows were so nice because of the cool breezes from the water and the sounds of Venice! Birds singing, bells ringing and just the sounds of the city were a reminder of why we chose to visit Venice.
There were 2 adults and a 12 year old in our room and we were comfortable. I had heard many bad stories and reviews about how small the rooms in Italy were but I felt this was as described on the website.
We had a junior suite. The bed was so comfortable and the sheets were very fine quality. The bath towels and robes were 5 star!
The breakfast buffet was enormous. Not what you would find in the states but that is why we chose to travel abroad.. A lot of pastries and cakes. Heavily salted meats and cheeses. There was cereal and milk for the kids
The only drawback for me was that the windows all looked on to rooftops of other houses or the sides of buildings. I was hoping for a canal view and thought my reservation promised one.
Either way, it really didn't matter because we were out exploring all day and into the evening. There is so much to see and do that your room is truly a place to sleep.
I can't wait to go back but I would look into some places that offer more rooms with a canal view and tucked further back into the heart of Venice.

This was our third trip to Venice and our best! One reason was our choice of hotel. This property is ideally located right off of San Marco yet very quiet and private. The water taxi took us from the airport to the front door...literally. We stepped out of the taxi and walked through the front door. Nothing could have been more convenient. The 5 Star service started immediately with smooth and gracious check-in to highly informed guidance from the head concierge about dining options. Our room, an executive suite, was spacious, beautifully appointed with a view overlooking the lagoon. Everything about our 4 nights at Luna Baglioni was ideal. We've stayed at Cipriani and Londra Palace on previous trips. Both were quite nice but Luna Baglioni was clearly our best experience. It is expensive but well worth it.

Room Tip: Room 505 is the right combination of space, decor and view.

We just stayed two nights at the Luna Baglioni and I must say it was one of the nicest hotels I have ever stayed in and I have stayed in many nice luxury hotels over the years. We were upgraded to a beautiful suite and I cannot say enought good things about the hotel, the staff and the level of service. It was truly a wonderful experience. If there were anything negative about the hotel it would be the noise early in the morning because of its proximity to St Mark's square and the public water transportation station.

For our first trip to Venice, I decided on Hotel Luna Baglioni because of the location and amenities listed on their web-site. If we go back to Venice, I would stay here again. The front desk staff were professional, friendly and everyone spoke English so I didn't need to stuggle along with my limited Italian. We took the water taxi from the airport to the hotel, which is located on a canal. The hotel is just yards from the San Marco plaza with loads of shops, restaurants, and atmosphere.

What a wonderful way to finish a cruise. We stayed in the most wonderful hotel for 2 days, it is an experience everyone must enjoy.
Arriving by private water taxi right to the front door was an excellent start. The reception staff were very friendly and super efficient. Our suite was classified as a junior suite but was enormous with its own entrance hall, separate sitting room, huge well stocked marble bathroom (with a shower that didn't scald or freeze you) and very large bedroom adjacent to which was a wide hallway with lots of wardrobe space. A welcome bottle of champage was the perfect ending to a wonderful first day. The hotel is perfectly located just adjacent to St Marks Square so you are right in the middle of the action with loads of shops in the old Marco quarter just around the corner.

If you like shopping in hi-end boutiques then this is the hotel. The concierge at the hotel was very helpful indeed.

In summary, everything was exceptionally good.

I arranged with them the transfer service from the Marco Polo Airport to the hotel. The driver was right on time at the customs exit with a sign with my name on it and conducted us to our car which was a Mercedes. After drive us to the Piazzale di Roma, we were transferred to a private water taxi and the ride was fantastic.
When we arrived, our room was not ready so they offer us a free drink while waiting with the promise that the waiting time will be worthy because they had upgrade us to a much better room, and It was true.
The room was beautiful and they welcome us with a bottle of wine and a mascarpone cake in our room.
The breakfast was very good and took place in a gorgeous room.
In summary, everything was exceptionally good.
