Everything about this hotel is 5*! I booked a junior suite for 4 nights(a suprise for my husband's birthday.) We arrived by private water taxi (WELL worth the 90 Euros) straight to the hotel's landing stage. We were greeted by very welcoming staff on the door and in the reception. Our luggage was taken up seperately and we were shown our suite. As we arrived in the evening, there were candles lit in the bedroom and bathroom! These were in fact lit every night. The suite, although not huge was lovely. We had a bottle of Prosecco, and strawberries and cherries dipped in chocolate waiting for us too! The bed was very comfortable and had linen sheets! The curtains were silk. The bathroom was very well equiped (bathrobes, slippers, weigh scales etc) and a powerful shower. We did not have a Lagoon view unless we leant out of the window (see photos) but it didn't matter.

The breakfast room (we had breakfast included) was the height of elegance (see pictures). We even had Bucks Fizz each morning along with eggs, sausage, bacon, variety of fresh fruit, pastries etc, whatever you wanted.

We had one dinner at the Canova restaurant included as we had booked a suite. It was wonderful. The service was perfect; attentive but not too much. The food could not have been better. The wine list is expensive, like everything else in the hotel and Venice, but as we didn't have to pay for the meal, we didn't mind too much!
We were offered (and took) a complimentary water taxi to Murano to a glass factory which was lovley. Had an excellent trip out there.

There was also entry to the casino free and money off at various designer boutiques supplied by the hotel.

Overall it was a wonderful trip. Venice is beautiful and very romantic. The sun shone all day every day and the staff at the Luna will do anything to help. It was worth every Euro for a special occassion!

Perfect location, friendly staff. We went for a Junior Suite and it was gorgeous. Food in the Canova restaurant was excellent and reasonably priced compared with other restaurants such as Da Fiore.

There was a bottle of Proseco left in our room on the Friday night, and chocolates on the bed, and then a Venetian mask was left on Saturday evening as it was Carnival - nice touches.

Breakfast in the Marco Polo room is a spectacular venue, although the food was quite average.

We are definitely returning to the Luna Baglioni, it's a very special place.

We are a family of four - parents and twin 17 year olds. We stayed at the Luna over New Years' for 5 nights. Our rooms, 307 and 309 overlooked the canal with tiny balconies.
It needs saying that for a well-travelled family, this was one of the best hotels we have ever stayed in. The rooms were elegant, the bathrooms what you would expect for the price, the breakfast room an event in itself - carving smoked salmon and drinking Prosecco at 8 in the morning is what a holiday is all about.
The concierge, Antonio, was really helpful (try his recommendation for a casual drink or meal - Bacaro - just round the corner from the hotel - San Marco 1345). The location is dynamite - central to everything. If I could offer one piece of advice - go in the off-season, it's still a bit crowded and I seriously don't want to be there in summer.
This is a truly terrific hotel.

We stayed in Luna Hotel Baglioni for 3 nights at Christmas. We really enjoyed our stay at the hotel which is conviniently located, a step away from the Piazza San Marco. The concierge was very helpful and all of their recommendations were very good!
We had dinner at their Canova Restaurant which was just amazing!
Excellent food and service.
We really hope to go back next year...

We stayed for 8 nights at this hotel over the Christmas holiday. It should have been 9 but we were called back home due to a family illness. As it was not in line with the hotels cancellation policy of 48 hours we had to pay for our missed night but at a reduced rate. For the money we spent there I thought they could have been more helpful

That was the bad but the good was very good. We had room 258 a junior suite; it looked over one of the busy streets so noise was noticeable however this was part of the atmosphere of being in a Venice hotel sited in the main drag. This did not spoil our stay but if you want quiet especially at night and in the early morning you may want to think about this.

Our room was lovely , it was clean well decorated had a huge bathroom with a double shower and the turn down service evey night left candles in both the room and bathroom which was very romantic. On the whole the staff were polite and chatty especially at breakfast although I thought breakfast prices were a bit excessive. We had Christmas dinner in the hotel restaurant which was OK but not memorable there are much better restaurants in town.

This was the third time we had spent Christmas in Italy at a 5 star hotel and the other two i.e. the Danelli Venice and the Eden hotel in Rome provide little gifts. This was not the case for the Luna although we did get a bottle of wine when we arrived.

Overall we liked this hotel we had a great room and really enjoyed our holiday, if you want to eat a fantastic meal try La Caravella or Fiaschetteria Toscanna. They are not cheap but the food was out of this world (Toscanna fried fish delicious). The Ristorante al Gigilo was slightly cheaper but just as good.
