Perfect location just off the grand canal and next to San Marco piazza. Great service. Beautiful hotel with a great breakfast. They clean the room twice per day. We would stay there again since it was a great experience

It was love at first sight for both my wife and myself on entering this lovely hotel after a long journey across Europe. It is an understatement to say that it has a big Wow! factor throughout, though you would not realise this from its exterior. Perfectly located on both the Grand Canal and just a few metres from St Mark's Square. This is important as it is not difficult to get quite lost in Venice when exploring on foot, but there are plenty of signposts pointing back to Piazza S. Marco.

A truly fabulous bedroom, with plenty of space and typically, gorgeously Venetian in style. The bathroom was small but stylish. Everything was immaculately clean and all the staff were impeccably polite and well-trained. The Breakfast Room is as astonishingly palatial as other reviewers have reported, and the breakfast itself is a daily feast. The restaurant is expensive for dinner, but there are plenty of excellent restaurants nearby.

The only criticism I could make is that tea and coffee making facilities are not provided in the bedrooms - such refreshment has to be ordered via room service. This is how it is in most Italian hotels, I understand. However, elsewhere in Europe, Russia and India this basic need of hotel guests is provided, especially in five-star hotels. So this could be a good way for this otherwise perfect hotel to set a new standard for its competitors to follow.

Highly recommended as a luxurious base from which to explore this uniquely beautiful city. We hope to return before too long.

Hotel Luna Baglioni is the perfect place to stay while visiting Venice. The water taxi drops you off right at the front door and as you enter this former palace you immediately know you have chosen the perfect hotel to stay in while exploring Venice. The friendly staff do everything possible to make your stay a memorable one. The suite we stayed in was beautiful. The hotel is perfectly located at the corner of St. Mark's Square. Breakfast was wonderful offering a vast variety of foods beautifully presented. Even with a 5am departure, there was a lovely breakfast waiting for us before the water taxi arrived. We will definitely return on our next trip to Venice.

Such a great location right next to St Marks square, the Hotel Luna Baglioni must be the best hotel in Venice. The staff were all very friendly and professional, the suite we had was beautifully furnished, the bed so comfy and the bathroom was amazing with twin sinks and showers. The breakfast which was included was superb with a huge choice of cooked items, breads, pastries, cold meats and cheeses. fresh fruit and cereals. Also coffee, teas, juices and even Prosecco! All set in the best breakfast dining room I have ever been in, with classical paintings and Merano glass chandeliers. Would definitely stay here again, missing the luxury already.

Our second stay in this beautiful hotel and we were glad to return.
We stayed in a suite overlooking a side canal and couldn't have been more comfortable.
Service was first rate and the location is second to none: just a stone's throw from St Mark's Square but somehow still peaceful and calm. Perfection!

Room Tip: Suite number 113 was very elegant and spacious.

The Luna Baglioni sits on the canal with its own water taxi dock and adjacent to the gondala service. A former palace from 1720, this hotel is top luxury with large rooms, good beds, pillows and linens. The breakfast buffet has an immense variety of foods from the traditional eggs, bacon to smoked salmon, pastries and cheeses, yogurts, cereals, etc., and it is served in a large salon, probably a former ballroom. The period furniture and décor, the high ceilings, staircases all reflect the 18th century. San Marco square is about 3 minutes away, so the location is unbeatable.

Dear Charlotte,
Thank you for your kind review and for highlighting the wide history and heritage of the Luna Hotel Baglioni. Let us add that the ancient “Locanda della Luna” has been property of the Knights Templar for almost 2 centuries 12th and 13th as they were used to host pilgrims bound to the Holy Land. In the area where we find nowadays the restaurant and the fireplace room there was a little church. Wait you back for this and much more to discover on your next trip. Wonderful hotel with great rooms and location central to everything if only staying short time.
Front desk experienced and always prepared to help genuinely.Concierge gave a great tip for a restaurant called Da arturo which is a must ...never judge a book by its cover! Easy access from airport or railway.
