“Great location, hot rooms”
Reviewed 29 April 2014

Fabulous location, staff very friendly and helpful, very clean, breakfast spot on. If you want to access Venice easily and centrally you could ask for no better. If we were to be picky the air con was not the best which meant room was extremely hot, could be a problem in summer and wireless was not great - would I recommend - absolutely!

Room Tip: Room 501 has a private terrace but is a twin.

My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights, we found the hotel to be very nice, clean, and the staff were helpful. We ate the breakfast but there was not a massive variety. Our room was large and designed in a Venetian style. The bed was very very firm, as was the pillow which made it difficult to sleep, also the room gets very warm, not an issue in April but in summer it must be ridiculously hot. One of our highlights was when you open the shutters you can here the gondoliers singing which was really lovely. The hotel is great location wise, but I don't think I would stay again.

We stayed at Kette Hotel in September 2013 for 4 nights. The room was great. Our windows opened to the canal, where we were serenaded every morning as the gondoliers parked under the ponte for better acoustics. Friendly staff, particularly the bartender. Rooms were clean. Great location.

Stayed here before starting our med cruise. It was a great location for square San Marco and the central area of Venice. The rooms were small but very tastefully furnished and decorated. We enjoyed a good continental breakfast, plenty of choice to start the day. The staff were very friendly and spoke very good English and were very helpful when asked directions to places of interest. I would definitely reccomend this hotel when visiting Venice.

I stayed here for 2 nights with my Wife and 8 year old Son earlier this month. The hotel is centrally located, and the staff was helpful. The beds in the room were "springy", but was otherwise acceptable.

We booked this hotel on a recommendation and Trip Advisor reviews and were not disappointed. Our standard room was very clean/comfortable, and overlooked a canal used by singing gondalieri! The hotel had a lovely feel to it, the staff were friendly, and breakfasts to die for. It is in a very central position to all the places to visit. It's well worth booking a shared water taxi from the airport as the hotel is only a few minutes walk away from the water-taxi stop. Venice is expensive, but if you accept that fact and plan it into your visit you will have a fabulous time. Also if it is your first visit, plan ahead on the things you really want to do. Expect to pay to visit churches, and visit St Marks early before the 'group' hordes arrive! Our best visit was to the little Greek Orthodox church, it's free but you have to pay to see the icons in the museum next door - , wonderful !. Another tip for lunch is to share a pizza at one of the many small cafes, they will slice it up for you and it costs around 3/4 euros .If you are a tea drinker, it will cost you more than a great cup of coffee!!

Room Tip: One that overlooks a canal. Ask for more pillows if you need them.

This hotel is excellent for those wishing to stay right in the centre of things in Venice. The hotel staff speak excellent English and are very attentive and really wish to help their guests in any way. My wife and I had a few reservations on reading past reviews, but these were all unfounded. Our bedroom was not large, but superbly clean, beautifully furnished in traditional style, and had a first class bathroom. We stayed for four nights and the sheets etc. were changed after the second night. Towels were also changed then, but this could have been daily if you so wished. Our room which was quoted as 'superior' had two pleasant easy chairs, a minibar and adequate television. We requested a 'canal view' room but ours did in fact overlook a very quiet street...fine. Wi-Fi is available for free, but do not expect any high speeds, they do not exist ! Logging-on is quite an experience..Enjoy !. If there is anything that could be improved, and this is probably only an English fad anyway, is that there are no tea / coffee facilities in the bedroom. 'Seniors' such as my wife and I do enjoy our early morning cuppa, but I suppose that you could involve room service if this was a real issue. As previous reviews have stated, the breakfast room is small, but as we visited in March and possibly as the hotel was not full, there was never an issue. The actual breakfast is very good. A wide variety of meats and cheese, plus pate', and the croissants/rolls etc. were always fresh and delicious. The fruit salad was tinned, and the fruit juice a bit thin, but all perfectly well served and very adequate for a 'continental' breakfast. Would we stay again ? Most certainly, Value for money, position and a very comfortable stay makes this an ideal venue. Congratulations to the immaculate staff.

Room Tip: Rooms to the centre of the hotel we understand look down on a rather dismal interior 'courtyard...
