I traveled from the UK to Venice with my mom and our stay at Hotel Hesperia was absolutely amazing!! From the moment we checked in (early and the room was available) we were truly taken care -- there were no worries from that moment on. We booked an air-conditioned room (which I defintely recommend while staying in the summertime) and it had an amazing view of the canal. The hotel staff were lovely and very, very helpful. Carolina & Martina helped us around the city, gave great advice on restaurants, made show reservations, helped us with traveling to Murano (which is a definite must!), booked our trains to Florence and were just pleasant to talk to. Our breakfasts in the morning were amazing as well. Overall the entire trip was amazing, mainly thanks to our hotel stay (the rest of Venice is pretty spectacular too)! :P I already recommended the hotel to two of my friends traveling to Venice later this year!! Thanks again ladies - you helped make our trip unforgettable! <3

Room Tip: Definitely book a room with a view of the canal! So worth it!!

We started our vacation in Italy in Venice and stayed at the Hotel Hesperia. What a wonderful experience! Our rooms were lovely, one with a view overlooking the canal. Both were a cool respite from the August weather. Each morning we enjoyed a European breakfast on the terrace before setting off on our adventures. The owners were always here and helped with restaurant recommendations and travel to surrounding towns. I highly recommend it!

Room Tip: You can request a view.

Hotel Hesperia met or exceeded all of our expectations. Woman at the front desk, possibly owner, was friendly and helpful. Location is convenient. We arrived early and they let us keep our bags there before checkin/after checkout. They upgraded our room for free. Room was spacious. Bathroom was large and clean. Breakfast was basic, but sufficient. Anywhere else Hesperia would have seemed lackluster for the price, but this is Venice.

We stayed here for one night during our trip. Decently priced and quite conveniently placed; it is a few minutes walk from Crea water bus stop, and across the river from Guglie stop. It is about ten minutes walk to the Venezia S.Lucia train station.

Our room was "cute". Split into two levels, the toilet and closet were downstairs, and the bedroom proper was upstairs. Our window overlooked the canal. The bed was comfortable. The TV however only had four channels (not that it mattered since we did not understand Italian anyways).

Breakfast was included and was quite decent. Some pastries, yoghurt, fresh fruits, usual hot drinks and cereals.

Downsides, no lift. Two long flight of stairs with a pregnant wife who cant do heavy lifting means the husband has to carry the luggage up and down.. Also, no air-conditioning. Had to open windows, which let the mosquitoes in. Toilet was small and cramped. Major downside (at least to us), no in-room wifi. Wifi only available downstairs in the common areas, and you have to pay for it as well! This was the only hotel we stayed in during our 10 day trip that did not provide Wifi free of charge.

My wife and I enjoyed our stay here. Overall, it was a good value. The hotel was clean and the air conditioner worked well. The breakfast was simple but pretty good. The location was decent, we chose it for its proximity to the train station. It's also close to some vaporetto stops. A little difficult to find, but so are most things in Venice! Shower was small, beware if you are a large person. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Wifi is not free, but you can purchase it for a decent price.

Hotel is very good. It has a very pleasant staff, very good location close to railway station and a boat taxi.
Thanks for the staff that helped to provide a confirmation letter for the visa in time.
Breakfast is served very early that was not a problem to have it and leave the hotel at 7am.
