This hotel is on the Rialto bridge, so the location was the best thing about it; otherwise, the staff do not smile a lot, except for the cleaning lady. While we insisted on having a hotel with a lift, they told our agent they have a lift, but they did not bother to specify that the lift arrives to the first floor, and then you have to go up two flight of sharp stairs with a child stroller to arrive to your room, which they allocated on the second floor! Very inconvenient if the child is sleeping in the stroller, and they are fully booked and cannot change the room! The breakfast is full of fatty sugary stuff and rare salty and healthy food like fruits and vegetables that get rarely replenished. The rooms are too small, and when you are a family of 3, the extra bed they given to the child is ridiculously small that a child easily falls out of it. A lot of noise in the morning, and if you don't get a room with a view, it's like sleeping in a tomb!! Wi-fi works intermittently. And what is this habit of hotels closing breakfast at 10? People are on vacation, so they need to sleep and eat a bit late! 11 would be good for all, especially children who never get to eat for a paid breakfast!

Room Tip: Ask for as room where the lift reaches directly on your floor and with a view.

We stayed in a room in the behind building which cost less. Hotel building is rather old but rather clean. The room has air-con which is very nice for summer time. Staff are friendly and helpful. Buffet breakfast is superb. The location is very very convenient as it is just a few steps from Rialto bridge and boat station.

The hotel is well located beside the Rialto bridge. This is old Venice so the rooms are not big. The rooms are well appointed, and small. The bathroom is small also but ok. We had a room with a view of the bridge. Fantastic. We read about it being noisy and it was. So we closed the shutters at night and that worked. No noise. We had a double room and the bed was very uncomfortable. It was 2 single beds pushed together. The edges of the mattresses have a crease sown in and this was uncomfortable in the middle of the bed. It was also very hard.
Breakfast was ok. Lots to choose from but nothing to get excited over.
Staff were helpful. But it is the location that is great, right on the canal next to the Rialto bridge.
Taxis pull up at the door. You can get a water taxi from the airport and it will drop you off at the door of the hotel. Same when you leave. The water taxi at the door will take you straight to the airport in 30mins. Hotel is walking distance to St. Marks square and all the attractions of Venice.

Room Tip: Ask for a canal view room.

Whilst the location was superior, our room lovely with a window opening out for a magnificent view of one of the best spots in Venice. The staff do not know how to smile or be happy. The breakfast was ok, nothing flash, but nice to get a table outside if u want toast order it as you are seated otherwise you be finished your meal before it arrives.
No I would not stay there again because of the unfriendly atmosphere of the staff.
If you do stay there you must get a room with open window on the rialto bridge, otherwise look for a hotel with a pool and happy faces

Room Tip: Rooms looking onto rialto are great can be noisy but shut your window when sleeping and put on the a...

We stayed at this hotel for 4 nights at the beginning of July 2014. The hotel is in a great location obviously next to Rialto Bridge. Easy to walk to St Marks Square and close to vaparetto stop. My daughter and I shared a twin bedroom. We had Room 106 but I had to ask to be moved after the first night as it was so noisy. I don't mind people noise as you know that will stop but this was continuous droning fans all night and it wasn't the air conditioning! I informed Reception, who told me that there is normally fan noise during the day but not at night, however they did agree to move us, and we had a quieter room. First room we had had a view of a brick wall and the room we were moved to we were overlooking another hotel in narrow alleyway - hardly picturesque. I felt that the guys on Reception were helpful if you asked but they didn't go out of their way to offer any information, in fact, they seemed quite surly! Also bear in mind that there is an added Venetian Tourist Tax which you will be asked to pay on check out. I hadn't realised this as I hadn't read the small print on my holiday paperwork.

Room Tip: We found 106 was noisy. Rooms we were in were small but had everything we needed. Rialto Bridge is...

Checked into the hotel and was surprised to of been upgraded to a canal view room.
This break was a surprise for my mums birthday, and as a further surprise from the hotel, the hotel gifted us with a bottle of wine on the actual day of her birthday. The view was beautiful, seeing gondolas, the Rialto bridge etc. from our 2 windows - worth the extra money to book a canal view room. Hotel prices are reasonable for the area.
The booking comes with breakfast and with Venice prices for food, this is a must for those not on a huge budget. Breakfast buffet is a good selection, although mainly cold dishes, has some variety with indoor or outdoor seating.
Hotel is located 10 minutes from San Marco and a bus stop (boat) is located outside the hotel. Many shops are located within and around the area and staff can point out great places to dine.
Rooms are clean and big for 2. Room had a safe to keep our valuables and had a big enough bathroom. Room service was completed with a visit from the maid, mostly on a daily basis, to ask if we liked the cleaning. The beds are a bit firm, but the hotel is happy to give you extra pillows and whatever you need - our request for pillows was delivered in minutes.
Hotel has very friendly staff who were willing to go out of their way to help you - hotel also has free wifi.
