“If we go back this will be on list”

Walked past here on our recent visit, and it looked like a hidden gem. Situated on a small piazza, it could easily be missed. Walked up stairs just to inside lobby as people were leaving a performance, looked very impressive. If we come again to Venice , though this was our second time and couldn't believe the crowds and quality of food in resturants that have become so touristic since we last came, though that was 17 years ago. We will pay the theatre a visit. Though not in summer....

“La Fenice”

Great looking building, ancient and soulful on a small piazza, one can almost walk past not knowing its there… went out of season and few people were around. Couldn't walk inside to look though as it was closed.

“Visit with a present!”
Reviewed 30 July 2014

We visited La Fenice last weekend. The visit (with the audio-guide) was very interesting, but the most amazing part was that during the visit, while we were seating in the royal lodge, suddenly all the lights went off, and a general rehearsal for a show (modern) started. It was amazing and they let us stay during the whole rehearsal... that we enjoyed from the royal lodge. Simply amazing.

“Burt Bacharach”
Reviewed 29 July 2014

I recently visited Venice which is one of the must see places in the world, unique and beautiful although the restaurants tend to be tourist traps serving mediocre food at very high prices. I was there to see a Burt Bacharach concert at Teatro La Fenice which a friend of had booked being a fan. I must say that it is not the type of music I generally listen to but have to admit that he is a very talented man who has been many times awarded for his music. The theatre itself is beautiful very similar to other theatres in Italy and well worth seeing as it was recently renovated after an arsonous attack in 1996.
