It was a great experience living a few day's at a former Dodge's palace. Close to the conservatory of music, we woke up listening to a pianist who was training every day, it was such a quiet atmosphere.
The hosts told us a few good places to have an aperitivo or dinner, we enjoyed a lot some of them (unkwnown from tourists).

Located on the Grand Canal, Palazzetto Pisani it's really a great place to stay in Venice.
Small luxury hotel in a unique location which makes it the perfect option for an unforgettable relaxing break.
Rooms are really elegant, clean and furnished in traditional Venetian style, we spent 3 nights into Del Doge's suite, really wonderful. Staff is really kind, professional and extremely helpful. They assisted us with dinner suggestions, a trip to Murano and answered all of our general questions on Venice.

Palazzetto Pisani can easily be reached by boat from airport and it was the ideal point of departure and arrival of our visits in Venice.

We spent there a very great time! Highly recommended!

This was my first trip to Venice & I had been warned that it was overcrowded with tourists & that I wouldn't get a real "feel" for Venice. Oh how wrong that advice was! We were transported at this Palazzetto (diminutive of Palace) back into a world that still exists for some. Although we were paying guests, Nicolo, who manages this hotel & all the details beautifully, and his housekeeper, Fatima, welcomed us as though we were invited guests. If you are looking for a relaxing stay with extraordinary views and not your typical hotel- be sure to stay at Pallazetto Pisani. We will always feel as though we had a rare opportunity to stay in a home - not a hotel.
The views from our Bellevista suite were right on the Grand Canal! Our suite actually wrapped around 3 sides of the Palazzetto & we spent so much time just watching the traffic (boats) go by that we couldn't think of anything much else we'd like to do. The location was fabulous - so close to San Marco, but close enough to the Academia Bridge to walk there in a minute or so & walk over to the Guggenheim Museum.
The Palazzetto has a wonderful history & if you appreciate that, you won't be disappointed by the older furnishings in the rooms which are those of the Countess & her family who lived here. Our suite consisted of: 2 bedrooms, 2 living rooms, a long burled wood closeted hallway & an amazing marble bathroom. A truly great value in this most sought after location in Venice (San Marco). The beds/linens/covers are new & comfortable & our bathroom had all the amenities (except a shower stall).
The other public rooms to wander around are rich with history - paintings, Murano chandeliers, beautiful carved ceilings & marbled floors, etc.
Nicolo gave us a wonderful restaurant recommendation that was not on the typical tourist guide book -seemed to be a place for Venetians right on the Grand Canal.
I would have given this a 5 rating - but know that some people desire what is not available here: air conditioning (didn't need it in July - don't know about August), Concierge, restaurant, spa, etc. But I think the Palazzetto is listed more as a B & B and these services are not offered or expected in this category.
This is a rare treat for anyone going to Venice who wants to be immersed in the history & beauty of a small palace & the opportunity to share the same quarters as the 116th Doge of Venice. Go for it!

Due to a comedy of errors, we wound up staying at the Pisani Palace in the Doge's rooms for 3 nights (our sitting room was the Salone Nobile in the hotel's official pictures). We had a suite consisting of a bedroom, bathroom, and salon/sitting room with 2 balconies overlooking the Grand Hotel (approximately across from the Peggy Guggenheim and very near the Accademia bridge). The Pisani Palace (or Palazzetto Pisani as it is called) is truly amazing. The building is centuries old, with many 18th century furnishings. For atmosphere, it cannot be beat. Nicolo is an excellent host, and Fatima (the housekeeper) takes excellent care of you.

What you should know: the suite we stayed in normally costs 1800 Euros; we paid significantly less due to unusual circumstances. I have to give it a 4 for value based on what the price should have been. However, the Pisani Palace is about to open a number of rooms that are in the palace but not part of the formal rooms we were in and I would expect those prices to be moderate. These rooms were being renovated while we were there, but we received a tour of all of them. I say renovated, but the rooms are being created out of other rooms in the palace (rather than existing "hotel" rooms being renovated in the usual sense). The beds/mattresses were about to be delivered. So we saw rooms in various stages of completion, but did not actually stay in any of those. The rooms were of moderate size - probably on the large size for Venice. All were fresh and bright, with nice detail (ceiling decoration, molding for example).

There is a lift, but I am not sure all rooms will be accessible via lift. You should ask if this is a concern for you. There are 4 floors total. Stairs are steep.

I do not know what restaurant/room service may be offered. There is a breakfast room where we took breakfast; I suspect this will be a B&B offering, but again - ask.

I give it a 4 for sleep quality for 2 reasons: lack of air conditioning in our room (I do not know if this will be the case throughout) and our bed was good, but not great for comfort (for looks it would rate a 10 as would everything else in the palace). I will say that the ventilation in the suite was very good.

I thought it was very clean and can't say enough about the wonderful care Nicolo and Fatima took of us. The "Doge's rooms" of the palace (where we stayed plus the breakfast room and a formal dining room) are AMAZING. If you can splurge on the suite, I highly recommend you do so. It is something you will never forget!

Room Tip: Ask if room is accessible via lift if important
