We randomly ran into this small snack stand one evening. The owner, Andrea, was very nice. He explained what everything was behind the glass case and gave us some suggestions. Everything is appears to be "oven fried". The owner takes snacks from various parts of Italy and breads/bakes them. The end result is very, very good. My favorites were the fried olives and a Roman snack consisting of cheese, wrapped in rice, breaded, and fried.
Although fried, the food doesn't sit heavy or make you feel sick. To offset the fried food, the shop also sells natural smoothies (natural as in it's just a bunch of fruit blended together, no juice or sugar added.) Oddly enough, the tangy/sour taste of the smoothies works really well with the fried food.
