“Never again. Worst staff ever.”
Reviewed 24 September 2013

The place itself it is average in terms of cleanliness but it's a very bad value for money.

Also, you cannot sleep in another friend's tent: you still have to pay full price, which doesn't make a lot of sense.

Staff is incredibly rude and impolite. Worst of all is the owner, which on top of being rude, is also a thief.

The price I got via email said 14 EUR per night but I was charged 15 EUR.

They said it was mentioned in the email but that was nowhere to be found in the reservation and a lot of people had the same problem.

I have tried to complain to the owner, not because of the price difference, but for the sake of it and he started yelling and basically told me to '[--] off'.

All I can say is that I'd never go back there, even if it was the last place with accommodation on Earth.

In response to the review may 29th 2013, we felt we had to ensure an actual representation of the camping site was posted.
This camp site is one of the better ones we have visited. The service was very good and the toilet facilites were kept very clean. The beach is a short 15 minute walk and transport to venice about a 20 minute walk to the boat. Downsides are that the site is a bit small and therefore can feel at times there are too many tents set up, also the pit toilets may put some people off. But overall a lovely campsite.

The service is awful. There was an old guy (maybe the owner) always boring the visitors and the others employees.
During the night there were a machine boring everybody.
The camping is farway from the beachs, it doesn't have public transport nearby and is too small
The bathrooms were a mess and smelly
The prices were very high.

This was the worst camping expirience I have ever had!

Room Tip: There are better campings and cheaper, like the Joly Camping. This camping is really a nightmare.

This camping site is a little piece of paradise. It tailors especially to the needs of real campers - i.e. people in tents. The owner has gone to a lot of trouble to provide wonderful facilities for his guests. I was amazed at the details - he obviously knows about camping and what is needed and also wants his campers to enjoy their stay, not just get as much money as possible out of them.
The site is actually a beautiful garden with blossoming trees, bushes and plants. There are even herbs growing for the campers to use for cooking. The owner has not only provided several picknick tables outside but also set up a large gazebo tent with tables and chairs and even a huge fridge and also electrical sockets for people to recharge their mobiles etc. The area for parking bikes is also covered by a roof!
There is a lovely little cafe where you can get fresh coffee and croissants in the morning. All at extremely fair prices, camping fees included. The site is located on the southern tip of Lido island and is very quiet - all you can hear are the waves lapping at the quays directly in front of the gate. And seagulls. Heavenly. Can't praise the owner enough, he is also a very nice person and works very hard to keep the place clean and pretty. Best marks!

I stayed there with a family group of 10. It is located in a very quiet neighborhood at the end of the Island. We rented 2 of the Mobile homes. They were clean and nice- and the kitchens were well equipped. This is like staying in a nice big backyard. The office staff did a good accommodating us in spite of a mix up in the reservation. The lido is a nice place to escape the crowds in the city- but it is out of the way. It is a short bus ride from the Lido Vaporetto stop. I recommend buying the Vaporetto/bus passes. The showers were great. Tent campers should beware that there are only pit toilets (nothing to sit on - only bars on the walls to hold). The other campers were respectful. The public free beach is too far to walk- so you need to take the bus.
