Worth visiting because of its unique setting, not for actually buying books, since most of them are in Italian and not in a very good condition (they are stored in some boats and built in precarious stacks everywhere, in a humid cave-like space). Friendly staff, very chatty.

I first saw this bookstore on Pintrist. Was so excited to see it on Trip Advisor, the directions with a GPS get you close. Once you find the street it's easy to spot. Such a fun place to visit. Great postcards and maps. Not allot of books in English, but that's hardly the point. A great excuse to explore, and a very fun place to visit. I recommend it for book lovers and anyone wanting something different to seek out.

My husband and I visited this bookshop because we saw it in a list of world's most beautiful bookshops. It was around the corner of our hotel off the Campo Fermosa square. There were stacks and stacks of books throughout the 2 main rooms of the store - an explosion of books it looked like! Most were Italian language, but there was a small English language section. A lot of erotica books, posters, etc. at this bookshop.

The owner doesn't seem to speak much English, but he was very friendly and helpful anyways. The bookshop sits on a canal and has a beautiful entrance right there on the water. Water laps up into the shop. It would be quite peaceful to sit there and read :)

The shop lives up to this accolade and more, my party spent hours here sitting in the gardens and climbing the book staircase to glean a better view. Being English speakers, we found that section fairly sparse but enjoyed sifting through to find hidden gems
