This is a very nice restaurant/pizzeria on Via Garibaldi, a few minutes walk from the naval museum and in a part of Venice which is relatively tourist-free and much the better for it. It serves simple fare and is an ideal venue for lunch. My tagliatelle with porcini and truffles was delicious and my companion's carbonara was declared by him to be the best he had ever eaten. None of us had pizza but they looked delicious at neighbouring tables.

The house wine in carafes was good, both red and white and the bill, when it came, was a very pleasant surprise.

We were in the area of Giardini and my 8year old niece was hungry and needed a toilet. She also wanted pizza... We had three pizze and one pasta dish. Apart from the fact that the pizza was expensive (9 EUR for a Salami Pizza, which is somehow normal in Venice) it was also overcooked and could have had a bit more topping). The service was friendly, but nothing special, the bathrooms were spotlessly clean. What we did not like (however it was written in the menu) was that they add 12% service fee automatically. I also know why, because they would never ever get that much tip from a normal customer. This place is ok, but nothing else.

First night in Venice and faced with so many food choices - not disappointed with the Biennale. Nice sweet/sour sardines for starters and good pasta fruit to de mare. Wine choice limited but what we had was drinkable and all up 73 euro happy to pay
