A great location, just a few moments walk from the ATVO airport shuttle, the railway station and the Piazzale Roma waterbus. Lots of decent restaurants and bars within easy walking distance. A 15 minutes stroll to Pont de l'Accademia with a further 15 minutes to Piazza san Marco. Without exception, the staff were helpful and very friendly, particularly on the front desk. No problem storing our luggage at no charge between checking out and leaving for the airport later in the evening. Our room was on the front of the hotel and overlooked the water - the view of the bus station beyond wasn't so picturesque but didn't bother us. The room was quiet, immaculately clean and looked as though it had recently been refurbished. A good signal in the room for the free wi-fi and a decent breakfast - although nothing special. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel due to its location staff and service.

Great location for a hotel in Venice it can be seen from the bus as you pull into the bus station.
You can check in and be out exploring Venice in a matter of minutes watching other tourists dragging their cases over the hundreds of bridges trying to find their hotels.
A warm welcome at the olympia we were only in the room a couple of minutes when a bottle of complementary wine was sent to the room as the staff noticed it was my birthday. The room was very nicely decorated and a good size.
A large selection for breakfast sets you up for a full day of sightseeing, rooms were cleaned everyday, free wi-fi,free safe in room, free coffee+tea tray if you ask for it,free map supplied at reception these may all be small things but other hotels would charge you for it.
We're already planning to go back later in the year 5* at 3* prices !

Just returned from a wonderful week in Venice celebrating a wedding anniversary and my wife's birthday. The hotel is a perfect place to stay - within a few yards of the bus terminus and station, and only twenty five minutes walk to St Mark's Square. The staff as always were very friendly and helpful and we couldn't have asked for better service - we had visited before on our anniversary, and they remebered, leaving flowers, chocolates and Prosecco in our room on our arrival. It's these little touches that keep us returning and recommending this hotel to friends and colleagues.

Room Tip: All the rooms are decorated in baroque Venetian style but with modern bathrooms, but those at the ba...

we stayed at this hotel for 3 nights after disembarking from a cruise.
The Hotel is beautifully decorated all through. The receptionists were very helpful on our arrival and all through the stay.
The room was warm and bed very comfortable.
The breakfast was really good with a full buffet of hot and cold food plenty of choice.
Location is excellent being right on top of Piazzale de Roma where the buses and water buses arrive and depart. Also very close to cruise terminal.

Venice hotels are generally expensive. However, at the Best Western Olimpia, it is decently priced and value for money. The breakfast is decent and has plently of options. The room is your typical Venetian room. We are not fans of Venetian rooms and therefore, could not feel comfortable in the room. The toilet bowl area is tiny as well. The stairs leading up to the room had a fishy smell - assuming the smell was from the restaurant next door.

Location was another reason we chose this hotel. It was very near the bus stop to transport our luggages and we did not have to take a water taxi (expensive!) to a hotel located further in. When it rained on our last day, it was a quick run to the bus! Addtionally, we had a good stroll to other parts of the islands and enjoyed getting lost as every building and bridge looked the same.

"Excellent" seems an inadequate rating for the absolutely fabulous two night stay we just experienced in Venice,Italy. From the very moment we entered the hotel lobby we were treated as valued guests. We arrived early in the morning after disembarking from our cruise ship and were able to leave our bags at the hotel before going to explore our very favororite city in the world. When we returned a couple hours later, we were delighted to have been assigned to a lovely one bedroom suite, the Viola,in the adjacent annex with a wonderful canal view. Our bags had already been taken up to our room by the bellman who escorted us to our luxuriously appointed accomodations, decorated in lovely Venetian style with padded fabric-covered walls, queen-sized bed, a sitting room with a couch, free wifi, mini refrigerator, safe and a large luxurious bath with bidet and heated towel bars. Our room-rate also included a sumptious breakfast buffet in the lovely breakfast room each morning. We could not have been more pleased with our wondeful accommodations while staying in Venice and highly commend the staff of this great hotel. Our room was kept spotless and every staff member we encountered was friendly and extremely helpful. We will definitely return to the best Western Olympia the next time we return to Venice!

Room Tip: The Viola Suite was AMAZING! Canal view and all the comforts one could imagine in Venice. There is n...
