Good quality hotel with recently refurbished rooms. Good facilities, and well located both for walking around Venice and for transport - it's near the train station, PIzzale Roma, and the bus station/taxi rank.

Breakfast is acceptable (if uninspiring) - and served quite late......The bar service can be a little slow if there are lots of check-ins as the porter is also the barman.

The staff are friendly and provide good service - in particular Robert the Welsh Italian, who has quite a sense of humour.....

If you are looking for a sensible budget option located on Venice proper, you can't go far wrong with this option - in particular it's location means that you don't have to drag your bags around the streets of Venice.....

Room Tip: Ask for a room facing the Canal or the Square behind the Hotel.

From the moment we first saw the hotel, from the bridge leading down from the Piazza le Roma, we were sure we'd made a good choice. There were tables set outside alongside the canal and planters full of colourful flowers on the canal side railings. We arrived early in the morning (post cruise and via People Mover) but were warmly welcomed and assured that our luggage would be safe and secure while we went out for a long (and hot) walk; we actually finished up in Parco della Remembrance by St Elena so when we arrived back at the hotel mid afternoon we were pleased to find that our luggage had already been taken to our room.
This turned out to be in the garden annexe (room no.142) and we were advised that this was a nice and quiet situation. That proved 100% correct. Our room windows looked out onto the street behind the hotel and as this only had a few pedestrians over the two days, we never had much noise at all. The room itself seemed to be reasonably soundproofed and we could only hear footfall from the tiled floor above (nothing too intrusive) and the muted sounds of TV from somewhere else. The room was nicely decorated in a typical Venetian style and although the bathroom was one of those with shower only (no bath - some other rooms do have baths) it was a very powerful and efficient shower. Everything was very clean and there is plenty of wardrobe space, a fridge and a room safe.
The garden (something of a rare find in Venice) is delightful. Walled; rustic brick; neatly trimmed topiary, and alive with flowers and early morning birdsong. On our first breakfast, all the outside tables were taken so we ate in the breakfast room. Very pleasant and a nice, clean "airy" feel to the place. An excellent buffet with lots of choices, including - great for us Brits - scrambled eggs; bacon; and sausages which were surprisingly tasty. Everything you could want - cold meats and cheeses; breads; fresh fruit and fruit medley; yoghurts, cereal, croissant selection; etc. and coffee in pots. - and refills if you wanted! The only minor criticism is that the orange juice was of the weak and watery type! The next morning, we had breakfast outside. What a perfectly relaxing way to both end our stay and start off the day.
The staff were very friendly, helpful and polite and we will DEFINITELY be back here again.

Room Tip: Room 142 is in the garden annex and is quiet and pleasant in that you walk through the garden to get...

What can I say? This is truly an exoerience the minute you walk in the door.
it has an easy walk from the train or cruise people mover and has front on a canal and back with garden terrace.
We were greeted by the most lovely staff and bell boy who took 5 suitcases up the tiny elevator.
welcome drinks were provided at the tables out front.
Wifi is free and fast, snacks at the bar lollies at the desk.
help with maps and walk ideas and breakfast is amazing with hot and cold delights and brewed coffee bought to the table.
all staff are the nicest weve come across on our 9 week european tour. My 3 boys (14, 12 & 10) all say its their favorite hotel.
I will highly recommend to all I know in australis that msy be travelling to venice and I will be back!

I choose this hotel partly because of it's proximity to Pizzale Roma to avoid having to travel too far with heavy suitcases, there is only one bridge to cross. The hotel also offers 4 bedded rooms and our room was spacious and comfortable with an amazing bathroom. The hotel is beautifully decorated and our room overlooked the canal. We arrived early and so booked in and stored our cases. When we returned, these had been taken up to our room for us. The breakfast (and the breakfast room) was lovely as was the garden. A nice touch was a welcoming drink for each of us from the hotel. The staff, and especially Robert, were very friendly. Reading a previous review, I would add that we did not have any problems with the wifi in our room. I would thoroughly recommend this hotel.

Lovely hotel, pleasant staff, good quiet location, excellent access for cruise ships but also easy to get to the sights of Venice. Breakfast on the terrace is great! Easy transfer to and from the airport.

Room Tip: Garden rooms or canal views are both good

The location is key for this quaint hotel overlooking the canal. The room was simple, but elegant. Our room was clean and decorated nicely. Outside our window was a view of the courtyard, which is beautifully landscaped and well manicured. Breakfast was delicious and the wait staff is friendly and attentive. Great place.

My husband and I recently spent three nights at this hotel, and prior reviews are spot on. The location is perfect, the rooms nice and the breakfasts fantastic. The room itself was beautifully decorated but had little storage space, but in our experience that is typical for Europe. The breakfast was amazing, and in good weather, served in their beautiful garden. The only reason I did not rate this hotel 5 stars is because their internet is almost non-existent. Our phones did not work internationally, thus we relied on wifi to check our emails, etc. More often than not, we could not connect even though properly signed in. It was fine for us because we were not as concerned with communicating with the outside world for a few days, but if being able to connect to wifi is really important to you, I would think twice about staying here.

Room Tip: We enjoyed our room overlooking the garden.
