“NEVER FAIL"S US.”

I have stayed at this hotel many, many times and i have never ever had any problems and I have never ever experienced any of these so called hidden charges with my bill or with the restaurant bill. The city of Venice has had a additional city tax in place at all hotels for the last few years it is not a extra charge by this hotel it is at all hotels also the small charge on your restaurant receipt is called coperto and again charged at all restaurants in Venice when you are seated for your meal .The hotel is just a stones throw away from San Marco and not too far away from Rialto Bridge and all the other wonderful sights of Venice. The staff at the hotel are all very helpful and always prepared to share their knowledge of Venice with you and even share a joke with you .Venetians are very gracious people and very ,very friendly and nothing is ever too much trouble for them which is a very good quality to have and is somewhat lacking nowadays ! I'm sure if you stay at this hotel you will have a wonderful stay like I have just had and hopefully will continue to have for many years to come !

Initially, we were given room 201, which was OK, but very very dark, and uninviting. We asked to be moved and the following day, we were given a room in the annex, which overlooked a small square. This room was excellent, and there was also a small sun terrace available for guests, which was an unexpected bonus. However, two things to look out for - there are no tea/coffee facilities, and the hair drier was very weak. The location is superb - St. Mark's Square is virtually next door, and almost all of the Vaporettos and ferries stop outside the hotel. All staff very pleasant and helpful.

Room Tip: Not room 201

Our party of 4 stayed 3 nights B&B at this conveniently located hotel. We did not pay expensive supplements for a lagoon view, which would have been nice, but found that little time was spent in the rooms as the weather was excellent. Facilities were good, rooms were clean and the bathrooms were well equipped. We found staff reasonably helpful, although we were not told about the hotel's free lagoon trip to Murano, until after we had been. A word of warning however, if you are dining in the evening at the hotel and you staying B&B, they add on to the bill a cover and seating charge, with the advertised discount for being a hotel guest only applying to certain items on the menu. There are however plenty of good restaurants nearby which do not have the Venice "add-ons".

Room Tip: Avoid rooms adjacent to the adjoining Calle as there is a lot of early morning noise from traders wh...

It was our first time in venice and omg what an experience. We were in room 203 on second floor with lagoon view...and what a view it was, with it's own little balcony (2) actually which was lovely when we would go back to the room and just people watch and sipping our cold lemoncello that we bought out there and left to cool in the fridge!! Great selection for breakfast, the waiters and waitresses were all fantastic. We had our evening meal at the hotel restaurant 2 evenings and the food is of high quality,we had the fillet steak both nights bit pricey but you pay for what you get, although they have a wide range on the menu and also you get 20% of the final bill and thats even including yr drinks wine, beer ect! They provide free transport for anyone that wanted to go to murano and again how lucky were we,we happen to have been the only 2 on this speed boat...what an experience that was! I would deff go back to this hotel if and when i go back to venice again.....will not forget this trip for a long time!

This hotel is perfectly situated on the Grand Canal directly around the corner from St mark's. The desk staff were very nice and the rooms were beautifully appointed - ornate but modern at the same time. It was great to sit outside for breakfast and watch the world walk by. They also included a free trip by water taxi to Murano to visit the Glass factories.

We stayed here for a weekend of 3 nights. We had booked a suite (that is all they had left) and when we arrived it was room 304 which is the only room with the triple balcony so probably their best hotel room! When we arrived we were shattered and disappointed that the room was still not ready despite the advertised 2pm check-in. Finally we got in our room at 3pm. I think had there been an apology or bottle of wine or something I would have given it 5 stars. But there wasn't they just said the cleaners have said they haven't finished! It was expensive but I think most are in Venice and the location is fabulous so you are paying for that and the view into the lagoon. We had breakfast included which was just OK. We never ate in the hotel for others meals we explored!

Room Tip: Suite 304! Enjoy the Gilt Frame for the TV - had us in stitches!

Stayed at this hotel end of April 2013. The location of this hotel was perfect. Close to St Mark's square and easy access to water bus stop opposite this hotel. Our room was clean and spacious (104). Despite some poor reviews regarding breakfast, we found this not to be so, plenty of choice available. The reception desk were most helpful. The only down side for us, was that some of the restaurant staff were at best aloof, in particular, the head waiter. The evening menu very overpriced for the most part. Whilst this did not spoil our stay did cast a shadow.

Room Tip: Front facing, lagoon view
