Location location location. This hotel is it. Ferry and water taxi stations across the way. St marks square is 5 minutes walk away so you can dodge the crowds and the heat by retreating into the air conditioned rooms midafternoon. We had a teeny tiny room with a small balcony that gave you a glimpse of the grand canal. But the room was gorgeously appointed. Perfect modern Venetian vibe. Sleek bathroom. Great lighting. Only complaint was one plug---- literally just one plug in the entire room--- to charge our cell phones/computer/etc..... Would be easy to add one more. The staff was great. Especially vita who welcomed us and Thomas who orchestrated our water taxi departure. The generous breakfast buffet allowed you to squeeze your own fresh OJ and veggie juice. Impressively healthy. All in all a classic venice institution that's keeping pace and providing excellent service in a prime location. Can't be beat.

A superb location directly opposite the water bus stop and near the Doge's Palace and St Mark's Square, an ideal base.
There is a lovely restaurant on the waterfront, a delight for breakfast and at other times.
Friendly welcoming staff who gave so many good recommendations.
The room was charming and overlooked the waterfront with views across the lagoon.

Room Tip: Overlook the waterfront.

We stayed for two nights here and couldn't believe how lucky we were for value for money. The location was amazing and it is an idyllic looking hotel. The rooms were average size for Europe and lovely and clean. The staff we dealt with were really friendly and spoke English well which was helpful for us. We had a early 5.30am water transfer to the train station and they were very accommodating in arranging wake up calls and packing a breakfast for us to take, even one for a gluten free diet. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

I can't say enough about Hotel Savoia and Yolanda. First of all, it is located on the Grand Canal, so from the Venice airport (VCE), you can take the Alilaguna Water bus directly to the San Zacharia pier in front of your hotel. The cost of the water bus is 8-15 euros each way. This means that you don't have to lug your suitcase over bridges in order to get to ya hidden hotel in Venice. It is absolutely the best location for arrival, departure and sightseeing.

When you wake up in the morning, you will hear the singing of the delivery men, as they deliver goods to the restaurants and cafes nearby. Then there are the smells --- the wonderful smells of the pastries being prepared outside your window. It is enough to make you want to wake up early while on vacation!

Very nice and stylish hotel fronting onto the lagoon and straight in front of water bus stop.
Hotel staff all very good and friendly. The porters are fantastic.
We had a suite with lagoon view-Fantastic with electric shutters to the windows to lock out the sun and any noise.- Really good air con as was 36 outside.Views were fantastic-wake up to a cruise ship going past!

Wall paper on walls was in fact all fabric! will certainly return.

Room Tip: A Lagoon View!

10 of us have just returned from Venice, we stayed at the Savoia & Jolanda and could not fault this hotel. From the moment we arrived we were treated like Royalty. The staff are welcoming, friendly, efficient and extremely helpful.
Thomas, Front of House was great. He organised a wonderful trip to the Islands on the hotel's boat with a great driver, arranged water taxis for us all as we were all flying home at different times. He even managed to contact the opera venue Musica a Palazzo as we had been there on Saturday evening and my Husband had lost his phone. They contacted us and arranged sending the phone back to our home address.
4 couples had Junior Suites overlooking the Lagoon and the rooms and bathrooms were stunning as were the views.
It was my Husband's Birthday celebration and they even put a set of watercolour prints in a book as a keepsake for him.
The location is great, so central for transport either by water bus, private taxi or gondola. Takes only 5 mins to San Marco. Close to lots of bars and restaurants, however, we enjoyed many a drink at the hotel bar enjoying the sun and views. We also had a meal in the restaurant which was absolutely delicious and very good value as you receive a discount of 20%. The service in both the bar and the restaurant is good and if you need to have a quick meal and let them know, they sort that out for you. Breakfast is above average with the available choices and freshly cooked scrambled eggs.
I would thoroughly recommend this hotel and in fact have some friends from Argentina who are going to Venice this week and have also booked.
It is worth paying the extra for the Lagoon views as you can watch the world go by along with the massive cruise ships arriving and leaving every day!
A wonderful weekend that was made extra special by our stay here.

Room Tip: Pay extra and go for the various Suite options

We stayed at this hotel for a week , for a wedding in chioggia. Everyone was so helpful, from front desk to housekeeping , nothing was to much trouble. We were not expecting a room with a view, but had a side facing room with part view which was a real treat (room 315) Room was more than adequate for our needs with a great size bathroom , we had no problems with water pressure, hard mattress, or air conditioning not working , restaurant is a little pricey but the position is fabulous & food is great !....The position is great from airport ,10 mins walk to ailiguna boat takes you to San zaccaria right outside hotel (15 euros ) one way 27 euros return...its so handy for sights as they are really close to hotel ..be prepared to walk & walk !!! even though expensive do go to Florins the oldest cafe on San Marco square ! you pay extra to listen to music but it's wonderful experience. Hotel provides a complimentary water taxi to murano glass factory ! you feel like James bond sailing over waves sat in true luxury arriving at murano in style !! Venice is very crowded where ever you go , elbows at the ready . To have a glass of wine sat in restaurant at hotel & just people watch , not forgetting the ausome sight of cruise liners going by right outside!! Would I go back again to savoir & jolanda YES ..I would most definitely !! (have posted some pictures)
