“Beware the single traveller”
Reviewed 12 June 2014

I stayed here for two nights with my tour group and had two very different experiences of this hotel.
On the first night I was placed in what can only be described as the "generator room"on level5
It was a room with three windows. The first near the bed had my neighbours looking in,curtains closed at all times.Second window(couldn't close properly)had the hotel generator. This went off every 24 minutes for 20mins day AND NIGHT.Walls vibrating lead me sleeping in bath, window three no curtain/privacy.After no sleep, there was no running water at all.Thank god for my tour director who demanded they put me in a functional room.
What a difference room 403 was.One extreme to the other , but after such a horrible experience I don't think I would recommend this hotel-especially if you are travelling as a single.

Room Tip: Room 403 has a great view of the street and canal.

Francesco at the front desk was awesome. It was a pleasure to have been helped by him. He ensured that our stay at the Boscolo Hotel Bellini turned out to be a wonderful experience and a memorable one.

Venice was our last destination city in Italy. The hotel was very close, walking distance from the train station. Our room was on top floor of the building, room was big, king size bed + extra bed, although we're booked for 2 person. The bathroom was also big, bathtub, shower and had a huge terrace. Good breakfast. Room was clean. Nice location.

This was the last hotel of our stay in Italy. We were with a tour group, so did not have to deal with any staff issues. The hotel is conveniently located by the train station on the Grand Canal. I was traveling with a friend and we had just left a wonderful lodging in Florence. We were very disappointed in our room. It was not much larger than a closet with barely room to maneuver with two large suitcases and carryons. The beds were clean, but not comfortable. The bathroom was treacherous. The toilet was directly in front of the tub entrance and there was a six inch trench next to the tub between it and the toilet. My friend almost fell and twisted her ankle while trying to use the facility. There was very low water pressure and the water was either scalding or freezing. Our last day when I showered, I could not stand under the shower because every three seconds it went from hot to cold. The wifi in the lobby was spotty and the food, breakfast buffet and our farewell dinner was marginal.

First of all - traveling with our stuff on right off the train, we only needed to turn a quick corner to get to the hotel. The location was fantastic. The hotel staff were phenomenally friendly, our room was great (it was updated, so very clean and modern amenities which might differ from other rooms), and they even offered free snacks/food in the afternoons by the wine bar. Would totally stay here again.

Excellent location and a room down the side ensured a peaceful night. Very rich ornate decor throughout with huge glass chandeliers prominent in every room. Very helpful Reception staff. Lift very small so steps need to be negotiated. Very old converted building so lots of little unique features. Good breakfast. Very good bed linen, toiletries etc. air con. Would stay again

This old, tastefully renovated hotel was clean and comfortable. Location is excellent. We could walk to almost everything. The water taxi was right out front and the train station was just around the corner.
