“Great location, but small rooms”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 25 August 2014

It's in the heart of Venice, within walking distance of all the shops, main canal and St Mark's square (just 5 mins away). The central location is the main advantage. The room was quite tiny, barely enough for two and right next to the elevator - wasn't very well lit either. The main receptionist, an old, gregarious guy, is very friendly and helpful. I had an early flight out @ 6.30 am to the States and he made calls to some water taxis etc. to check what was available etc. Ended up switching to another hotel the night before to make it to my international flight out. For folks traveling back to the States, I would advise against staying anywhere in central Venice, since very few water taxis etc available at an early hour. This is not a negative on this hotel particularly, but a general tip.

The hotel also had free internet and a decent breakfast buffet. Would recommend this for those on a budget, yet wanting a central location.

Located in San Marco, the center of Venice. Just short walk to the palace. The hotel situated in the small road between the branded shops and gondolas dock. Short walk to Alilaguna/ACTV (boat) of Giglio dock.

Stayed for 3 nights and nicely we got calm bedroom with typical of venetian style decoration. Appreciated with the calm inside of our bedroom at night if remember we are in the really center of tourists place. The bathroom looks modern, clean and complete toiletries. Cleaned up everyday.

The buffet breakfast full of varieties, we enjoyed. Just little bit negative for us, the bedroom windows face directly to the neighbors balcony and it's very close. The buildings very close each other. But hey.... it's Venice! Guess almost all the hotels in this area would be the same.

Anyway, would like to recommended this hotel for the location, cleanliness and friendly of the staffs there.

On checkin we were told that we had been upgraded to a superior room! It had classic italian decor which was beautiful, the room was spacious, had air con and big bathroom. Our room was not located in the main building as had to walk to a separate building around the back, it was a little hidden but once we had been shown we were fine! Nice cafés out the front and very central to everything! It's about a 30 minute boat ride to the area from train station and then a 5 minute walk to the hotel!

We stayed in this hotel for 2 days in the end of July 2014.

We arrived at the airport of Venice and went into Venice using the Bus and the ships. The nearest and best reachable stations are the two stations on San Marco.

After our arrival at San Marco we walked ca 10 Minutes to reach the hotel the first time. It is very good hidden in a corner, and there is only one sticker, and you can miss it very easily. So did we. After walking around the block 2 times (with all baggage over the bridges) we finally found it.

The hotel itself is quite good. Our room was really small (ca 20qm), but the bath was bigger (maybe also 20qm). All walls, the bed and the were in the curtains were red and gold, as you can see on our foto.

The breakfast is also very good. There are Crossaints, fruits, muesli, cake, pancakes and bread. You can drink tea (order teawater at the staff), coffee and juice.

Room Tip: We were in one of the rooms in the top floor (room 312) and it was really nice and the bathroom was...

The hotel staff is very friendly and helpful! The room is beautiful. It took us a day to realize that there was a mini fridge bar in the desk (with good prices). Room 130 has a nice balcony overlooking the cute shopping street. The shower and bathroom are a little strange. There is no place to put things. There is no fan in there. The air conditioning will only run when you are in the room. The vapporetto station is a 10 to 15 minute walk with suitcases. The complimentary breakfast is just okay.

Good value for money. Exceptional location While our room was small it had everything we needed.and was very clean Breakfast room was exceptionally small. However we always got a table when we arrived and if you wanted breakfast could be,brought to your room at no extra cost breakfast was usual fair and adequate. Pity TV in room didn't have an English speaking channel however wasn't a big problem. Internet worked very well and was free Would stay again

Room Tip: Ask for room in main hotel and if possible with a terrace over looking the street. We didn't h...

If you want to stay in the centre of Venice I can thoroughly recommend this hotel. Don't expect a lot of room but it is very clean and everything you need is there. Staff very friendly and gave us great recommendations for eating out. Well worth a visit.
