Very nice hotel located an easy ten minute walk to St. Mark's Square. Directions on the hotel website are terrible--email them directly for better directions so you don't spend two hours wandering with your luggage like we did. The room was spacious and clean, but walls were a bit thin and there was a lot of noise in the morning. Wi-Fi is absolutely terrible, and unfortunately hindered our travel planning. Concierge staff was sometimes a bit unhelpful, especially the night staff. However, the location is hard to beat, and that would lend me to recommend the hotel. Breakfast was croissants and cold cuts with juice-- no fresh fruits, which would have been nice. Splurge for a canal view from your room--totally worth it! And make friends with the cat in the lobby. We would probably try a different hotel next time in Venice, but for the value and locale, this would do the trick for a first visit to the city.

Room Tip: Room with a canal view!

Just come back down to earth (with a bump!) from spending the weekend in Venice staying at the Locanda. Room 109 was a lovely spacious room overlooking the courtyard. Friendly staff and a warm welcome. Saw the famous cat a couple of times. Great location with the Rialto and St Marks approx 10 minutes' walk away although those narrow alleyways take some getting used to! We had two maps and still took the odd wrong turning! Would recommend this quiet, clean and non-pretentious hotel. Was a pity to leave but something tells me we will be back.

What a find! Character hotel 10 minutes walk to St Marks. Or take the Vap from Ospedale! In an area that
feels very safe. The staff are without exception very pleasant and helpful. The cat is huge!
Room 103 is worth every extra penny with lovely views over two canals. Breakfast was a suprise much more extensive than expected. Venice with a wheelchair can only be done if you can walk over the bridges - you can take your time people will wait. Of course you need your own Sherpas to carry the chair. But both La Corte and Venice are worth the pain!!! .

Just a superb place to stay right in the middle of all the things to see and do.

Formal, friendly, helpful and polite staff and a good experience from the start.

The room was large overlooking a canal and everything was well decorated and spotless.

Room Tip: We chose one of the bigger rooms and it was perfect. The canal had some nice boat stuff going on which just added to the stay.

Stayed in this amazing hotel from 7th-10th March 2014. A friend recommended this hotel to me and the hotel is situated in a perfect position as it is far away from the hustle and bustle of St Mark's Square but close enough to walk everywhere (being to walk to Rialto Bridge in 10 minutes maximum). Go for the double deluxe room with canal view- one word fabulous! Breakfast was lovely and continental. Staff were very friendly and were always on hand to help! The cat Tommy is a cutie and a big feature in the art work at the hotel. Worth every penny! Basically, it is one of the best hotel's I have ever stayed in and would go back there in a heart beat!

Room Tip: Double Deluxe with a canal view- huge room, huge bed, living room and a lovely bathroom plus views of the canal! Ask for room 103!!
