Having visited Venice twice before, I wanted to stay in a new area and was recommended this little hotel by a friend living in Venice. It didn't disappoint. Just a few minutes walk from the bus and railway station, it is in a lovely little area, very quiet and yet only about ten minutes walk from the Accademia. The rooms are small but very clean, have everything you need for a short stay and the beds are comfy. All the staff were friendly and helpful. If all you want from a hotel in Venice is somewhere to sleep, shower and change clothes, you won't be disappointed. Also good value for money when I went in February, three nights for 190 euros.

My had a very pleasant stay at Hotel Falier and our feedback is very positive; a good location, a pleasantly decorated hotel, cosy warm rooms with fully functional bathrooms, courteous staff and very clean. My only very small comment is about coffee at breakfast which is the same for all hotels in Italy. Whilst expresso etc is on offer at the Falier that is a bit strong for so early in the day, but the caffe latte was weak.

We went to Hotel Falier at a recommendation of a friend. Very nice surprice to find a small cozy hotel ideally located in a non touristic neighbourhood but perfectly located. It's 5 min walk from Piazzale Roma where the bus comes from the airport. Nice restaurants in the neighbourhood. Staff very kind and helpful, rooms smallish but clean and had all we needed for a short trip. Excellent quality/price relationship. Warmly recommendated.

Traveling to Venice was a bit of a dream for me and my wife,i booked the tickets from Crete with ryanair for less than 150 eyros for both of us and then we started lookin for a hotel...everywhere we looked they were sky up in prices...you needed a months payment for three days in a hotel...we then booked hotel Falier for 150 eyros per night because it seemed a bit better than all the others at that price, when we arrived they put us in a room on the ground floor,it was the smallest room we have ever stayed, you couldnt move, and the window was in a small dark alley extra barred and the room smell of dampness...the next day we requested a room up stairs, the room was the same size but at least we could open the window...the staff were very unorganized they even gave us a wrong key and we entered a wrong room,i have been to Italy three times and although greeks are requered to know at least two foreighn languages to speek to tourist Italians cant even learn there own...and at the hotel trying to get some info was a big trouble...

Room Tip: If you stay here dont let them take you to the ground floor!!!!

Pros: location (near train and Plaza Roma)

Cons: location (difficult to find), small dated room, indifferent staff

Not much to say here. I noticed in the pictures that some of the rooms are much larger than the one I had. Ask to see the rooms before paying. The price of the room, purchased through hotels.com for a little over 100US was not worth it at all. I know Venice is expensive but this was not well spent money. The breakfast woman was really, really nice and same with the man in the morning. The two working at night could use some hospitality training but it is what it is.

Room Tip: I would book this for only one night, see what type of room you get, then if it is good book it for...

We stayed in Hotel Falier during our recent 4 day trip to Venice.

Its very close (10 mins) to the train station, and close enough (25 - 30 mins) to St Mark's Square.

The area is lovely.. slightly touristy but nothing that will drive you mad like other parts of town! There are alot of quaint piazzas and gorgeous walks.. even at night. Quite a few restaurants and shops as well - so you won't get bored.

The hotel itself is fine - very nice lobby. The room was small but completely manageable for 3 nights. Only thing is that it gets a bit hot - but we slept with the window open which did the trick. The only thing i will complain about with respect to the room is the shower.. very poorly designed and floods the whole bathroom! But they provide lots of towels and clean the room every day.

Breakfast was fine - croissant, bread, cereal, etc. Kept us going for quite a while!

I'd stay there again if we got the same or a similar rate - about EUR 60 a night.
