This family-run hotel was well-located, and perfect for our 3-night stay in Venice. Two couples with two rooms in different parts of the hotel; our smallish room was spotlessly clean and suited our needs. We felt secure with two card-entry doors to our room. A phone problem was addressed and corrected by the staff. The family members who staff the hotel, as well as other employees, were beyond helpful. On a recommendation of a staff member, we had an unforgettable dinner that we enjoyed so much, we went to the same restaurant the next evening. We were also advised on a last-day walking tour of a quiet part of Venice, out Garibaldi Street, that we'd never have known to try without their guidance. Breakfast was a real treat. Staff also arranged for our private water taxi to the airport, and offered to help with luggage to the nearby canal. We would stay here again and recommend it to other travelers.

Great convenient location, very cosy atmosphere and a most friendly staff. We got lucky and got bigger room for two, rennovated, nice space, new bathroom, though TV screen very small. Very good breakfast. We highly reccomend this lovely hotel.

Stayed at Hotel Al Piave for our first venture in Venice. It is a bit hard to find and we wandered around even with the excellent directions given by the hotel - we simply we continually lost in Venice!! But then it is wonderful city to be lost in! Hotel is clean and pleasant. Very nice and comfortable queen size beds (or about that size). Very good breakfast and congenial hosts!

My wife and I stayed here for 3 nights while in Venice. We are both in our 60's and really enjoyed the stay. This hotel is a family ran business and staff speaks good English. There is no elevator but that was not a problem as the staff carried our bags to and from the room. We found this hotel via the R. Steves travel book. The location was excellent. There is an excellent YouTube video on how to find the hotel and I highly suggest that you watch it prior to departing on your trip. The room was clean and the breakfast was very good. Would definitely stay here if we visit Venice again.

My husband and I have stayed in Venice on 3 previous occasions and just wish we had discovered this hotel earlier. The staff are very friendly and helpful. They arranged for us to share a water taxi with other guests who were also joining a cruise and also arranged a porter to take our luggage to the water taxi. We were very happy with our room and the breakfast was more than adequate.I don't think anyone who stays in this hotel could fail to be charmed by it.

Room Tip: We stayed in a room which was located just a few doors from the hotel building and it was very comfortable (and it had a bath which is a big plus for me).
