My husband and I really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Al Paive. The place is very well-kept and clean; it was cozy and felt like a home. And the staff there made us feel like part of their extended family. Our room was a fine size, everything exceptionally clean and in excellent condition - in fact the bathroom seemed newly renovated and updated - the bed comfortable. The shower was smaller than we are used to, but being from America, we expected that. When we asked for a recommendation for a place to eat, they recommended a restaurant that really suited what we were looking for. We loved the fact that it wasn’t right along the Grand Canal and that we had to follow the maze of streets to get there - not a long walk from the water taxi and St. Mark's square either. We were able to get a better feel for the city and it was a very quiet neighborhood.

Stayed here two nights alone in a double comfort room. The room was a nice size for Venice and nicely renovated. The bathroom was very clean and also nicely renovated. Breakfast Buffet, that was included, was small but had all you needed to start the day sight seeing in Venice. I would definately come back again.

I am so glad I found this hotel for our 3 nights in Venice. The location is perfect, away from the crowds but an easy walk to St Mark's square, the water taxis, etc.
The room was clean and the bed comfortable. It offered a little fridge, a water heater for coffee or tea, a safe for your valuables, good water pressure in the shower, and a beautiful terrace with a table, chairs and umbrella.
Breakfast was above average, awesome selection of hot and cold items and good pastries with fresh coffee and eggs cooked to order.
The staff was very friendly and helpful, they gave us a map with directions on several occasions when we needed assistance getting somewhere. We had mentioned we were on our honeymoon when we booked and there was a complimentary bottle of champagne on ice waiting for us in our room when we arrived!
There are several good restaurants very close by which was nice.
I would definitely stay at hotel Al Piave again, we were very pleased!
Note: The hotel can be a little tricky to find the first time, we watched the utube video and found it straight away :-)

Centrally located and so easy to access for the water taxis. Suite was very roomy and clean. The staff, especially Federico, was very helpful and speaks English. I would definately recommend. Decent price for the location

Room Tip: Hard to find places for family of 5. We had the suite and it was very roomy and comfortable. Keep...

I loved this hotel for our brief stay in Italy. We had the Quadruple Classic room for my family of 4 which included 2 bedrooms (1 smaller one with a twin, the larger one with a queen and a twin). This was close enough to everything that it was easy to get wherever we needed while also being far enough from the square to be plenty quiet for sleep at night. We enjoyed people watching from the tables between the buildings in the evening after our kids had passed out in bed. I also truly appreciated the help I got from the front desk in confirming my very early in the morning water taxi from the nearest spot...I wouldn't want to be standing around at 4:00 am hoping a taxi came by.

Upon arriving (within two blocks of Hotel Al Piave) by water taxi from the airport, I had a friendly and efficient check-in to a comfortable double-bed air-conditioned room with private WC/shower. Breakfast featured scrambled eggs, fruit, cold meats, cheeses, cereals, and hot & cold beverages. The day & evening staff were very helpful in obtaining excursion reservations and Saturday night concert tickets. Once you walked the narrow streets one time with some directions assistance, it was only a few doors down to a laudromat, a 5 minutes walk to several excellent restaurants and St. Mark's Square, and a 10 minutes walk to the Rialto bridge area. I would definitely stay here again if visiting Venice.

It took some work to find the hotel. I'm glad we found it though. Very nice and the room was amazing. It was very hot w/o AC but that's what happens in the summer in Italy. The breakfast was very nice and we were so close to San Marco. There was wifi nearby and they did arrange a Sunday Trip to Murano. The owners and staff are very nice and we felt fortunate to have such a great place to stay. We were on the first floor but had we stayed on the second there was a lift and our rooms probably would have been cooler. I would stay there again.
