Despite a lovely location, this hotel is a total dump and run by the worlds worst staff. There is graffiti in the elevator, rooms are musty and old and I can only describe the staff as hostile. They literally rolled their eyes at guests, hung up on people mid-call, couldn't recommend how to get the airport and shouted at an older gentleman to move his bags onto the elevator by himself despite a cane and limp! From other reviews it looks like they also steal! DO NOT STAY HERE.

The Hotel Belli Arti is a good value in Venice. The single room is teeny, but looked like a little jewel box with brocade wall paper and a chandelier. It was so small, I couldn't easily open my suitcase, but the location near the Accademia, the Peggy Guggenheim Collection, and the Zattere is excellent. It is super easy to get to the airport boat on the Zattere--nice if you have a heavy bag. The rate was very reasonable, considering it was the height of the tourist season. There is a lovely terrace where you can take breakfast in the morning, and nice seating for drinks in the evening. The front desk staff is not terribly friendly, but if you are out and about in Venice, it is well situated, quiet, and a nice place to lay your head without spending a fortune.

My ipad and computer were stolen from luggage room in Belle Arti Hotel which is supposed to be under staff's control!!! Staff didn't show any interest in helping! I was told cameras don't work and police cannot come! Plus very weird, only my luggage was open and things stolen. Everyone's else luggage was not touched and this gives impression that someone in the hotel who has seen what goods i have in my room is involved in this affair! Worst experience ever! Never trust this hotel and its staff!!!

This has been the most horrific stay. The manager was so rude to me and didn't seem to care for his customers what so ever. The room I was given to start with was so tiny that The only thing that seemed to fit was the bed and this was a double room - the bed was rock hard and the decor was bizarre!! A Purple plastic headboard and purple wallpaper, quite ghastly it felt like I was In a brothel. The room was across the road in a separate building from the main hotel- at no less cost and no mention of this at the booking. To make it worse, this building has no internet! They were very reluctant to move me and didn't make it easy. The manager seemed to have a huge chip on his shoulder and it was a huge shame because the rest of the staff seemed to be friendly. Customers should never be made to feel like they are in the way or a nuisance and this man sure did do just that! I couldn't be more disappointed with this hotel quite frankly. When I asked for someone to help me move my bags at the end of the stay he said no sorry only for groups and didn't help to find me a porter that could help. The breakfast was poor and often the fruit salad had a funny fizzy taste to it- it was a tinned fruit salad to make this worse! There was also a very noisy gang of school children staying at the hotel during my stay which didn't make for a peaceful relaxing atmosphere. The internet in the main hotel building didn't work in the evenings, apparently because too many people were connected, but this is no excuse for a big hotel as they should be prepared for a busy period. DO NOT STAY HERE. I have never experienced such poor customer service.

Hotel was in general what we expected. Good location, clean bathrooms, small-ish rooms but not unusually small. Only problem we had was that my son's room 305 had spiders in it and my oldest received a number of bites that really made his hands swell up. They later saw spiders on their beds. We wont be returning to this hotel.

This hotel is in a great location, being close to the main sight-seeing attractions, a good supermarket, the Grand Canal, water taxis etc. The room was clean and comfortable, but very small (the bathroom was also very small). It also seemed quite dark, due to the décor (patterned wallpaper on every wall). There was a tiny, triangular balcony which overlooked the courtyard / schoolyard – good for some fresh air. A refundable deposit was required for the key to the safe in the room. The breakfast area was also quite small – the food on offer was fairly basic and limited, but adequate, considering that the Hotel Belle Arti is a three-star hotel. There is a comfortable under-cover area adjacent to the entrance to the hotel with a number of couches and arm chairs. The nearby courtyard is a pleasant, sunny area, with tables, chairs and umbrellas. There are lots of lovely shops and restaurants within walking distance of the hotel.
