“Charming hotel, great service and beautiful views.”
Reviewed 1 May 2011

This hotel has charming rooms and makes you feel like you are staying on a boat. Even the bathroom was very nice. Right beside the lagoon, the views were beautiful. It was also easily accessible by water taxi. The staff there were great and really treat you well. If we ever return to Venice, we will definitely stay there again.

Ok just brief points- staff here are friendly, location is brilliant, quiet and great views. Rooms are a tad small. We had a superb room. It had a roof top terrace ( sorry there's just one room - 501 , that has that ) but the views from our kids room ( 404) were fantastic too. Decor is nautical and very stylish. Breakfast was great , just what was required albeit continental. overall , its well worth the expense, small , friendly and just lovely.

Room Tip: Eat nearby in Via garribaldi

This hotel is in an excellent location and it is easy to access the public transport and to walk anywhere. It is quiet at night and the views over the lagoon are excellent. I was staying with a friend and we had a twin room. We were disappointed that the twin beds were only 2ft 6" wide and very close to each other and this should be stated I think.. The room is well appointed and there is a nice bathroom.
Breakfast at the weekend was very good but the fruit was a little tired looking on monday morning. We had an problem with the water supply (which was due to be fixed) and the hotel staff were helpful in allowing us bottled water and on our last night upgrading us.

recommend Vivaldi concerts in venues around St Marks to capture atmosphere.

What a great location, staff, accommodations and breakfast. i would only change the fact that a couple argued on the waterfront outside late one evening but even that was somewhat enchanting.

Room Tip: Our room was very small but worked very well.

After consulting with TripAdvisor when planning our stay in Venice, we decided to book this hotel. We are so pleased that we did. This place is amazing. We had a classic room, 303, facing the lagoon with an amazing view of San Marco and the Doge's Palace. The room was small, as expected, but extremely well designed. The bathroom was also well laid out. The decor is nautical with the rooms done in dark wood paneling and the bathroom in green marble. The hotel was nice and quiet, we slept with the windows open and woke up to outside noise only on the foggy morning to ship's horns. The hotel staff was very friendly and pleasant. There was an ACTV strike the day before our departure, which made us a bit nervous for our return trip to the airport, they not only reassured us that the airport taxis would be running, but printed out the schedule for us. The hotel is easily accessible from the water taxi and a short walk across a bridge from the Arsenale stop. Breakfast is included and offered a nice variety of options, including a nice selection of fresh fruit.
