“Great hotel and location!”

Love this hotel! Great location! On the river and just one block over from crowds. Easy walk to all sights. Staff very friendly and helpful. Great breakfast to get you going in morning. Our view was amazing overlooking street and river. Would return definitely and recommend to anyone going to Venice!

We stayed 3 nights at this hotel. We were relocated to a hotel about one bridge closer to San Marco for one night due to a clerical error but were offered free upgrade for the rest of our stay in a corner suite with breathtaking view of the venetian lagoon. The hotel is very well kept and the staff is helpful and friendly. The breakfast buffet is a bit lacking but is enough for anyone to fill up for the day given the price of eating in Venice.

I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a conveniently located hotel with excellent services.

Room Tip: Junior suite corner unit offers excellent view

We chose the hotel after reading previous reviews and were not disappointed. The location is superb - close enough to walk to the sites whilst not being in a very busy area. We stayed in the Family Suite which was two adjoining rooms with a small lounge section in between. Perfect for us and our two young children. The views from the rooms are incredible. Rooms were clean and very comfortable. Breakfast was great. You have to pay extra for a cooked breakfast but there was enough choice from the buffet that this wasn't necessary. Would definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: Family Suite is great for families.

Location is great. Very close to water taxi stop, on main canal. Out of the "fray", while being an easy walk to main destinations- St. Marks, Opera House, etc. We booked a junior suite, and while a bit small- only one armchair (in addition to the straight one at the desk)- it was charming and very clean. Had the feel of a luxury cabin on a boat. Bathroom also small, but elegant with travertine. The concierge staff (we dealt with 3 separate individuals) could not have been more accomodating, professional, and friendly. Very impressive.
Now for the negatives: The bed was truly uncomfortable,as in it affected our sleep. We spent 2+ weeks in Italy, some beds better than others- but this one really approched ridiculous- think mattress from summer camp. The second issue was the breakfast- continental (basket of bread). I have a gluten allergy- and was prepared to pay addtional for other options, i.e. eggs and bacon. They were out of bacon, and I can't be sure- but eggs had the appearance taste, and consitency of the powdered variety.Only sub par breakfast we had our entire trip. I feel the negatives could be easily addressed, as this is an otherwise very nice hotel, in an excellant location.

Room Tip: Choose a canal side room- the higher the better- docked boats can interfere with view from rooms on...

Ideal location, excellent service, unique décor. Hotel Bucintoro was the ideal choice for a first-time stay in Venice. Charming Castello district off the regular tourist path with lagoon views. A lovely experience.

We had a great stay in this hotel, it was just what we were looking for. We read all the reviews and looked at all the pictures. This was just as described. Hotel has wonderful views of the Lagoon. We were leaving on a Seabourn cruise in two days and we watched the ship come in from our window. What a thrill. Easy location for all the sights. The staff is wonderful. Stefano was very helpful, answered all our questions, found bank atms, made dinner reservations for us and ordered water taxis. The room was just as described. The breakfast was great. We will stay here again.

I loved my stay this hotel! The staff was just amazing and so helpful! The location was convenient to everything and I enjoyed the fact that it was a bit away from all the crowds in and around St. Marks Square The view from our room was gorgeous - made for a nice way to start the morning. I would highly recommend this small hotel!
