We stayed at this hotel for one night before we boarded the cruise ship. We stored our luggage and took the water taxi to San Marco. It was a short walk to the hotel from where the water taxi dropped us off. The hotel and room were a nice surprise and the breakfast the next morning was great. The staff at the hotel were friendly and helpful. We would stay at this hotel again.

It took quite a while to find this hidden gem, but once we did, it was worth it. It was beautiful inside and out. Our room was nice and clean. It was right off the breakfast room, but there were double doors so you couldn't hear any noise whatsoever even when the breakfast room was full. There was a balcony that you could eat on also which was nice. The main floor had a little courtyard in the middle and we sat out there one night enjoying some italian wine with some friends we met at the hotel! The front desk was extremely helpful and although we had alot of trouble at first with their wifi, they were very accomodating- helping us solve the problem. Highly recommended

Great location for the first time visitor to Venice. Located on a quiet street but just minutes from major attractions and water taxis. Very professional staff. Good breakfast. Contemporary room had step up into bathroom, creating need for extra caution. Large room with only flaw being small amount of mold in bathroom tub.

A four story elevator will be your time machine to travel back to a former elegance. When you reach your room, you will be in the 16th century. The carpets, the walls, the furnishings - you are indeed now a wealthy Venetian. You will enjoy a buffet breakfast in the dining room and you can sip brandy in the cozy bar. You can walk two blocks to St Marks Plaza. You are within ten minutes of all major Venice attractions. You will enjoy the residence of the wealthy for these happy days. Pampered? When we left, the staff carried our considerable luggage to the waiting water taxi they had ordered and we had the bittersweet trip back to twenty-first century reality. But - we WILL be back and we WILL travel the Casa Verardo time machine on another fantastic vacation
