We stayed in a quad room, the beds were sufficient but the washroom was tiny and cramped. There was no elevator and the breakfast was average. Definitely a budget hotel. Front desk staff were very friendly, helpful and courteous.

I've stayed at da Bruno before, but in the past I guess my room was not in the front of the building: the room I had this time, overlooking the street, was very noisy. But that's my only gripe. The staff are knowledgeable and friendly, the location is right between the Rialto and P. San Marco, and the price is very affordable for Venice. Plus there is free breakfast and WiFi.

Room Tip: Ask for something that doesn't face the front of the building

We had the best time staying in the best hotel. Igor and the staff were absolutely wonderful. It was the best location, so central. Close to Rialto Bridge and San Marco square. Breakfast was just wonderful each morning. With trusty map from the hotel in hand, we would head off each day. It was the trip of a lifetime and I certainly will be returning. The shopping was fabulous and plenty of room in our hotel rooms to store the bags at the end of each day. Wanted to stay much longer. I will definately be back. Thank you Igor for listening to our stories at the end of each day. You were wonderful.

I would rate the hotel perfect 5 stars primarily due to:
- Its wonderfully located, 5 minutes walking from Rialto Bridge and 10 mins walking from St. Mark's Square.
- On the hotel website, you get exact way how to reach the hotel when travelling by a train (like we did) arriving at Venezia Santa Lucia. Take Water Taxi No.2 and get down at Rialto Bridge - then follow the way described on the hotel website.
- Upon reception, the guy checked us immediately in the room, carried our luggage to the room, gave us the username&password for free wi-fi internet.
- Then he gave us ample information and Venice map for the best-affordable&expensive restaurants serving the best pizza-pasta in Venice :)
- The hotel receptionist also booked our Venice Walking Tour (we paid cash at the hotel counter for the tour starting at St. Marks Square)
- So far, the reception and the service has been the best among all the European cities that I have visited (Paris, Swiss, Mallorca etc.)
- The room was perfect for a size of 2 (considering we were in the mazes of Venice): Air Conditioner maintained the temperature to right levels in an otherwise 30+degrees outside. There was a safe with a key provided free of cost. Regular stuff such as mini-bar, TV, hair dryer & toiletries were present.
- Breakfast was decent, no complains.
- I repeat the location is just fab ---> As this is the main island of Venice and everything is so easily approachable.

Dont miss out buying some masks at umpteen number of shops around, enjoy coffee on the canal bank sides, enjoy gelatino ice creams (they r yum) and dont forget the Gondola Ride - It adds on to the experience......

It was my first wedding anniversary and I couldnt have asked for anything better :)

Cheers.

Room Tip: All rooms are the same :)

This is THE place to stay for multiple nights with a family in Venice. The hospitality was amazing from the Sartore family from even before we left the States. They were extremely helpful and accommodating in arranging via email for our 4 person apartment. The best thing about their apartments is because they are also owners of the Hotel Da Bruno, their reception is open at all hours (there is a fee to check in after 9PM, however, but you don’t have to call them to arrange to meet before that time b/c you can just check in at their hotel). The location is PERFECT for our 4 person, “Arco del Paradiso” apartment, and they own 12 others in addition to the rooms at their hotel. Venice is such a fun, walkable city but it can be big, so this location between Rialto and San Marco was ideal. Easy to find the Hotel da Bruno for check-in, and then Paolo, their night staff, brought us to our apartment. There was scaffolding on the outside of the apartment and the interior entryway was crowded with construction equipment, but once we entered the apartment (up some steep, narrow stairs), we were thoroughly and pleasantly surprised with how well things worked (AC, stove, fridge, internet & washer) and loved the feel of “living like a local”. There was a large, separate bedroom with a queen bed and ample drawers & closet, and a pullout sofa in the kitchenette area that was perfect for our two girls to sleep on (a bit lumpy for adults). The table and 4 chairs in the kitchen were more than adequate after we folded up the sofabed. Utensils, plates, pots, etc were ample in the kitchen and we didn't lack for anything the two days we cooked in the apartment. Even olive oil and balsamic vinegar were in the pantry already.
The fact that our windows were right across from Hotel Da Bruno allowed us to get internet that worked great right in the apartment. Their internet sign-in system worked flawlessly, which many other places in Italy gave us trouble. It definitely saved us money to be able to eat breakfast and dinner in the apartment when we wanted, and we usually got our lunches from the Billa or Coop grocery stores as we explored Venice so it made economic sense to stay here as we were on a tight budget..
After you book (www.hoteldabruno.com for hotel or www.venicehr.com for apartments), they will send you great, detailed instructions for finding the check-in area. Their hotel is located right next to one of the best gelaterias in Venice, and the apartment is close to an inCoop grocery store along with many other shops. After you checkout, you can also store your bags in their luggage room with a bathroom nearby to freshen up before you leave Venice. We confidently and absolutely will recommend the apartments to friends going to Venice! (Our friends who stayed at the “out of the way” Hotel Henry were so jealous of our apartment.)

Room Tip: Arco del Paradiso had great internet within the apartment, but they have 12 other apartments as well...

We really enjoyed our stay at Hotel da Bruno, conveniently located near the Rialto Bridge. The service was terrific, Igor and the others were all friendly and very helpful to us during our stay. Our room was very clean and quiet, we had a triple and were located at the very top of the hotel. Very good and filling free breakfast. We would recommend to all, and will return next time we visit Vwnice

Although our room was small, it was well designed to make good use of the space and provided good facilities including en suite, air conditioning and a fridge. Hotel was extremely clean and the buffet breakfast was excellent. The location is ideal for a short break and very convenient for sight-seeing.
