“Well worth a detour from the Rialto market”
Reviewed 3 July 2014

A stop near the Rialto where we sampled local Burano biscuits and a sweet desert wine. As in the other Osteria we visited in our time in Venice the staff were friendly, helpful and keen to make sure you enjoyed the experience. We drank outside as they were setting up for lunch so didn't get a chance to experience the inside or a meal. For Ombre and Cicetti it was well worth the detour.

“Great place for tasting!”
Reviewed 10 June 2014

This was last place we went for our Cichetti, wine tasting exploration. We enjoyed all our little tastes of both. Perfect place to see and be with the locals. Few tourists, although crowded with locals the staff was accomodating and friendly. We never felt rushed.

“Ripped off”
Reviewed 14 May 2014

Our family ate here after we tried this while on a food wine tour. We were over charged for our dinner and although we ordered a 1/2 carafe of house wine were given a bottle of what our server decided to give us. We learned fast while traveling during holidays in Italy this happens but after chatting with these folks it really made us feel they were insincere opportunists. We ordered 3 small plates of pasta and 1/2 carafe of house wine . Our meal totaled approximately 38€ We had 100 euro on table it was swiped off table with a smirk on the servers face .She quickly slapped 10€ Of change back.Very uncomfortable ! For people that a honest . This left us with a bad feeling which really took the joy out of our evening. Beware !

“Excellent little spot for lunch”
Reviewed 13 May 2014

Just happened on to this little spot near the fish market. Wonderful house wine and great selection of little cichetti made a perfect lunch.

“Cozy little restaurant”
Reviewed 16 April 2014

This was a little tricky to find from the tripadvisor map, but we persevered and were rewarded with a pretty decent meal. Well kind of. I like to try the local specialties, so I ordered baccalà Mantecato. Dried, cream salt cod. Yeah, it tasted how it sounds. Kind of weird. But my husband and son both had the lasagne which was wonderful. It was so flavorful and kind of light as far as lasagne goes. That might have been because it did not have as much ricotta and mozzarella that lasagne I'm familiar with has. The service was great. And the atmosphere was very charming. It seemed very popular with the locals who were drinking wine by the glass while talking and laughing right outside.
