“Good value and good location”
Reviewed 16 August 2014

This is a great base for seeing all the sights-only a few minutes walk from St Mark's square, but tucked away enough that it is quite quiet.
The room is reasonable- be careful when opening the shutters though as that is where the mosquitos lurk!
The bathroom could be better- the shower was poorly designed and soaked the room.
Be aware of all the steps and no lift- but a good work out!
The breakfast was continental and everything seemed to come out of a packet, which was a shame.

Only good things to say. Wonderful staff. Center of Venice. Close to vaporettos. Clean and well taken care of. Walking distance to St. Marks and Rialto Bridge. Easy transport to Murano and Burano and cruise ships. Staff wonderful and friendly with good advice as to where to go. Would be my go to hotel in Venice. Only drawback was no elevator but staff helped with luggage. Nice breakfast included. Easily accommodated 3 people.

Room Tip: Put your request in early if traveling with more than 2 people.

The hotel and staff are great. I have been third time in Venice ant it was the best hotel I had. It is really great located to San Marco square. The money value is good. I asked for a quiet room and I received the last floor room. It was great, I did not hear the street and had a view on the Venice roofs. But there is no lift in the hotel.

Room Tip: Higher room was quiet, but there is no lift.

No elevator so just request for a room on the lower floor. WiFi is unstable in some areas but it's free!

Great location. Just a few steps from San marco. Also walking distance to rialto! Chamber maids and breakfast servers are very nice. Rooms are spacious and good bathroom! Nice hotel to stay at.

Receptionist is sometimes not bilingual and can't understand English.

Stayed in triple room which was always clean and comfortable. The location is great- very near San Marco and so easy to find and then very easy to find your way back from after exploring. The staff was very helpful to us ; making phone calls with us to airline to help find delayed luggage. As noted , there is no elevator so ask for lower floor if that's an issue. Would definitely stay here again

The location is perfect, the room is okay, bathroom tiny but who wants to spend more time there than necessary. Have to agree the worst haidryer in the world. Take your own. Breakfast take it or leave it and mostly we left it. We were on the 4th floor. There are no lifts
The staff were friendly and helpful, but don't count on the hotel to provide tourist brochures, maps etc.
We found only one electrical socket that would accept an adaptor bit of a problem if you had more than one appliance to charge
The location was central to everything, the water taxi station, the Rialto bridge, heaps of restaurants a casual two minute stroll to San Marco square

Room Tip: If you are after luxury this isn't the place for you. If your room is somewhere only to sleep th...

The hotel is close to all the amenities you will need in Venice. It was extremely clean with very helpful staff. Our room was spotless everyday and the on suite facility was adequate. We were on the fourth floor and there is no lift in the hotel, so be prepared after your hours of walking around. Venice is prone to extreme storms during the summer and with the amount of people staying you can queue to do things for hours. If you end up back in your room the only tv channels are BBC World News and CNN. Pick lower floors if you need wifi. We paid for it but it didn't work for the six days that we were there. Thank goodness for Iphones and 3G, especially if you need to keep in touch at home. The breakfast room is quite small but the continental breakfast is what you would expect in Venice. Our room overlooked the rear courtyard and the main entrance the shutters and good windows cut out virtually all the noise apart from San Marco bells which sound every hour, which you get used to. You'll have everything you need around you for your trip, but if you want more facilities in a hotel you'll have to upgrade. Look around for good restaurants there are some really good ones at the lower end of SPADARIA. If it's a friendly, comfortable room you need, and think we got a bigger sized room, we would recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: Didn't see inside the other rooms. .
