I booked this hotel without looking at trip adviser first - big mistake! Lesson learned - always read trip advisor reviews first! Now the highlight is that the room is very cute with antique furniture and a beautiful Murino glass chandelier. It's on a charming Street with restaurants nearby and has two English channels in the TV in your room. Internet is only available for free from the lobby and stairs. Free breakfast was fine but nothing to rave about and the tables not cleaned or cleared but free, so can't complain. Now onto the low lights: I would not stay at this hotel again and would want to try to find another hotel in the same price range based upon two primary factors: first is the security and the other is the bathrooms.

There is one photo posted that shows the restroom on the trip advisor review and it is the same room that we had. your feet are literally in the shower when you use the toilet. there's no way around it and when you use the shower there's no curtain and no matter how you try to hold the shower head you are drenching and spraying the toilet and all the floor soaking wet which leads to a miserable the rest of the evening if you ever want to use the toilet. It's like a cruise ship bathroom with just one drain in the middle. for the rest the night you have to go into the bathroom with bare feet stepping on sopping wet towels just to use the toilet which is a dealbreaker for me to recommend this place.

The next issues the security: they require you to leave the hotel key with them when you leave which I find unacceptable as I am not staying at a youth hostel. They then leave the keys out and open range so that anyone could walk in the hotel if there's not someone at the front desk, grab a key and immediately go to room unseen to rob it. on numerous occasions I did not see someone at the front desk when I was leaving. I could've easily taken any of the keys if I was a thief. Further the safe in the room are the old-school style with the key and nonelectronic where you can program in your own password. the hotel staff asked for a $20 deposit for me to use the safe which they did say is refundable but I found ludicrous that they would even ask.

We spent one night here on October,2012. Location is good, the price was reasonable ('cause it was Sunday and we asked many hotels and they charged us too much). The rooms were alright, they were clean and the bathroom was large. The staff wasn't very friendly. They say breakfast is included but we couldn't see any breakfast! The croissants were cold and the coffee wasn't freshly brewed. We left the hotel still feeling hungry but it was better than making a hole in our budget! If you want an average stay without expecting a lot, i recommen you.

To be fair, the location was good and the rooms were decent. We were pleasantly surprised to find that breakfast was included upon checkin, enough so, to look past the fact that the claim of "free Internet access" doesn't extend past the lobby. The real issues began upon checkout when we found out that our pathetic excuse of a breakfast which we had been explicitly told was included in fact cost 8€ per person. When we informed the morning receptionist that we were told breakfast was included, she was very rude. She then had us talk to the man who checked us in, over the phone. He claimed that he only informed us of the breakfast time, which to be fair, is true. What he denied, however, is that upon our asking whether breakfast was included he said yes. When we told him this on the phone, he said "if you want to play games with me, I can play games with you too. It's your word against mine, and we both know who they are going to believe. So I'm going to say that I told you breakfast was not included." An unfortunate ending, to an otherwise rather pleasant stay. Overall, we would not recommend this hotel simply due to their lack of customer service.

A quiet room, the smallest bathroom I ever had to squeeze into, the room was simple, quiet, moderately clean and without many amenities. The whole hotel could do with being refurbished. I wouldn't recommend it but if you're on a budget you could do a lot worse.

After google maps not quite getting us to the hotel's location, thankfully some perseverance got us the extra couple of hundred metres through the Calli, we were greeted with some wonderful service. No lifts meant that backpacks stayed on the back for the stairs, thankfully we were only on level 1 but there is 3 levels so make sure your luggage can be carried up the stairs! Although if you are travelling to venice you need to be able to carry your luggage over the many canal bridges. The rooms were quite small and the air conditioning didn't work but the windows opened to allow some fresh air in. The highlight from the hotel for our stay was the great service to help us find a laundromat only a 100m walk away. It's quite a central location and within a 10-15 minute walk of any of the main attractions and has many great restaurants nearby.
