“Excellent location”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 7 July 2014

As 2 students we didn't expect very much but the hotel was fairly clean and the breakfast was adequate, with a few hiccups (curdled milk and mosquito in tea). All in all, the price and location make this an excellent choice if on a budget or short stay.

Room Tip: Room 10 is rather small

We stayed at the hotel 29/6/2014.
The hotel is a few minutes from the Rialto bridge and is situated in a small square with a cafe and a church a really good location .
We knew it was a budget hotel and didn't expect much.
However we were pleasantly surprised by this little place really friendly hosts and staff .
The corridors ,public areas and our room were spotless a little outdated but it didn't matter.
Room 9 a quadruple room was large the en suite had a tiny bath and shower ,canal views really pretty.
Breakfast was a fresh baked croissant and really good coffee .
We would definitely stay here again.

The room was very small, with no television and the bathtub is like a mathbox. There is no elevator. On the whole was good due to its location , cleanness and friendly staff.Breakfast was mediocre , not even cereals was offered, there was just one coffee and couple of crossiants.

David & Miriam - Sydney, Australia.

We were very pleased with the hotel. Yes it did have some stairs to deal with but the staff were very good. The continental breakfast with table service was high quality. We had a view from our room of a junction of two canals. It is was one we will never forget.
TIP-- Instead of restaurants - we bought a large pizza and a bottle of wine from an outlet 60M away and took it back to our room for less than 15 Euro.

Room Tip: Try to get a room that overlooks day to day life on the canals.

I think this place has taken but of hard time in reviews- Venice is expensive you just cos you pay a lot more than normal doesn't mean you can expect 5 star! Over all it was good. Clean, our twin room had its own bathroom and even overlooked a canal. The staff are old school but they try. There are 3 flights of steep stairs up- no lift.

Room Tip: Room 5 - twin with own bathroom and view to canal

I stayed here at the end of my trip in Venice. It was not far from the Rialto Bridge and a easy 10 minute walk over to St. Marks Square however its defiantly a hotel you don't want to have heavy luggage while traveling to. There are 3 flights of stairs just to the lobby, when my mom asked for a luggage man they only had an older gentleman and I just carried mine.

Our room which was up another flight of stairs (but could be up to 3 more flights) was room 20 this was one of the TWO rooms without a BATHROOM although you get your own bathroom its down the hall and yes its clean and private but at 3 am its not so easy to use your key to get in, use the key to lock yourself in, then unlock to get out and lock it up again then unlock your room again your very very not tired. The room was very very small with no television, I am not sure about wifi as I had a personal hotspot with my phone but we did have a nice view of a canal.

The other downside was the staff didn't speak great english, I accidentally broke one of my gifts and it took like 5 minutes to explain I was trying to get a broom. However like I said it was clean and didn't cost a lot but don't go in expecting a lot of bringing heavy luggage. My suggestion is to request a 1st floor room with a bathroom when you book so you don't have to lug your luggage up extra stairs or have to make trips in the hallway to use the restroom. Super inconvenient.

Room Tip: Ask to be on the first floor and request a room with a bathroom its worth extra euros if they ask fo...
