Himself and I stayed at San Geremia Rooms (the main building) for a Saturday and Sunday night and overall we were impressed with what our money got us with room #203. To sum it up, I have listed some pros and cons below:

Pros:
- great value for money - only €136 between us for both nights
- booked a room with shared bathroom but were given our own private bathroom which, although was across the corridor, only we had the key and it was huge!
- location was very convenient being just a five minute walk from the station and only a stones throw from the Grand Canal, yet also within walking distance of all you'd want to see in Venice (but then most places are)
- our room had air conditioning (which was very welcome with the unprecedented hot weather Italy had been experiencing) and there was also a heater
- bed was comfy enough and each side had a table and its own lamp
- windows opened to let fresh air in our room and the shutters were great at blocking the light out, ensuring a good nights sleep
- we had a safe inside our cupboard for our valuables, just as you would expect in a hotel
- a sink was available for use in our room also, so fresh drinking water and a place to wash up if not going to the bathroom
- left luggage area which was useful as checkin wasn't until 2pm and we arrived early although it wasn't the most secure
- free wifi available which worked in our room too
- outside the hotel there were a few tables and chairs from which you could watch the world go by and just next door was a small bar/cafe if you felt like a beer etc

Cons:
- shower was a little unpredictable ...water pressure was good but the temperature alternated between hot and cold and it was impossible to find a middle point to ensure you weren't scalded or frozen
- there are no lifts and the hotel (at least in the building we stayed in) has four floors; though our room was only on the second floor, the stairs may be an issue for those with heavy luggage
- left luggage room, as alluded to, is insecure with people able to walk straight in from the street if they wanted to
- no fridge or kettle in our room (as in some hotels) so this may be a problem if you're looking to self-cater at all

Overall Himself and I were happy with our stay at San Geremia Rooms and felt that we got our moneys worth. If you're happy staying in a basic hotel and investing your money elsewhere, then you may like to consider staying here when next in Venice.

Couldnt sleep due to constant noise in and around the building, the room we had was small and stuffy. One night we were abruptly awoken by screaming and shouting due to one aggressive and morally corrupt reception staff member. We left the next day even though we had one more night there as we didnt feel comfortable or safe. Avoid.

As it's been already mentioned the positioning of the hotel is very convenient - close train station and bus station. We've stayed in a double room with private WC. One could expect a TV set or small fridge in the room. However none of the above was found. The price of 86 EUR/night seems too high for a rather basic amenity. But, on the other hand, it was the lowest one during the Carnevale 2012 period.
The room was small, the furniture was OK, tha bathroom tiny. Walls were thin and you could here someone talking in the corridor. No 24 hours reception is another drawback for the keys have to be left at the reception at any time. Once you have to get to your room at 2 AM, you're in trouble.
Yet I consider this hotel to be perfect 1 night stand option.

We booked this hotel as it was close to the bus & train station .But the ambiance and service was horrible.I felt it wasn't worth the price. The rooms were very small comparitively.
The staff were not so good & helpful and were concerned only about doing business.Service was extremely bad.

we stayed for 2 days and we paid around 80 euros + some taxes per night .

The hotel was very easy to find, which in Venice is a hard thing. We took 5 minutes from the Bus station to get there.
We’ve booked Alloggi Gerotto Calderan, but actually stayed at Hotel Geremia, which is next door, it seemed ok for us. Nobody explained us why….
The room was really tidy and clean (very important for me), it was a little bit small but it wasn’t a problem. We booked the room with no bathroom, so it was separated, and I couldn’t understand why it had to be locked all the time.... Anyway it was really clean too.
The walls were really thin, so we could hear our neighbor snoring.... Not so good… Apart from that we had a good night of sleep.
The location was great, we could walk everywhere with a little disposition. For what I’ve researched the price was really great, since things in Venice are REALLY expensive.

We booked through Hostelworld, so had paid deposit already. We paid the remainder, plus city tax, in cash on arrival as our booking confirmation said cash only. The price seemed okay - Venice is expensive for what you can get in other Italian cities for the same price but we were comfortable.

It's an almost straight run from the train station, Santa Lucia, about 10 mins walk, so very easy to find. It's on a square so the view from our room was quite lovely, looking out at the San Geremia Church. Our room was at the top of the building, so up a lot of stairs, there is no lift. Dated decor, but cosy/homely feel, all very clean. Comfortable double bed. It was very hot our first night so we needed to sleep with the aircon on, which was incredibly noisy so little sleep was had, but the second cooler night with no AC we slept well.

Teeny tiny bathroom but decent hot water and pressure. We were there to see Venice not our hotel room anyway! Made an ideal base for us as we had late train arrival/early train departures. Staff at reception were always pleasant and easy to deal with.

The Hotel was recommended to us from the agency in the train Station, there they said this is one of the few places where you can pay less then €70/night for a room. Well for the price I was pretty disappointed, very small rooms, except the bed almost no furniture, toilet and shower were not in the room, and the lack of cleanliness were too much. The breakfast was OK, and the location is great, but apart from that a bad experience! I do not recommend it!
