I have just gotten back from staying here for three nights. I must admit after reading the reviews on here I was a little scared about what the hotel would be like. It is in a great position, really close to St Marks Square and vaparetto stops etc, also it is sort of down an alley way which means that there is hardly any noise. The staff were reasonably friendly but as a person has said previously they didn't exactly go out of their way for you, the lady who serves breakfast is however lovely and very friendly. The room wasn't anything special but it was clean with a sink (you do not have an en suite there is one shower with a toilet and then another toilet per floor-we were fine with this but other people might not like it). The only problem we had which wasn't exactly the hotels fault was that there are lots of mosquitos, we got eaten alive! MAKE SURE YOU TAKE LOTS OF INSECT SPRAY AND BITE CREAM! The rooms do not have any aircon but have a fan in each room. Breakfast is rolls, croissants and cereal, this is fine! Otherwise eateries are a few 100 yards either side of you. We ate in St Marks Square a lot and by the Rialto Bridge which was fab (ate too much maybe). All in all for the price you pay it's a good hotel!!
